Abstract: An ozone delivery system, method, and apparatus are disclosed. Ozonated water can be used to disinfect and clean various surfaces, equipment, and animals in a dairy setting. Animals can be disinfected and protected from disease through the use of wash-pen and sprayer injections, and other footbath products. Ozone can be educted into a drop hose and a pre-dip line at periodic intervals and into a foot bath to provide refreshed ozonated water. The ozone delivery system and method sterilizes all equipment and floor surfaces without damaging diary equipment components. The system can incorporate computer-controlled options such as maintaining off gas levels, maintaining cleaning and disinfecting records, monitoring ozonated water levels, monitoring concentrations of ozone in said ozonated water, controlling entry and exit gates, controlling a drainage system, and monitoring and educting ozone in a foot bath and wash pen.
Abstract: The present invention provides a composition for controlling plant diseases comprising, as active ingredients, a compound represented by formula (1) and ethaboxam.
Abstract: This invention pertains to methods and compositions for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. More specifically, the invention relates to isolated molecules that can be used to diagnose and/or treat cardiovascular conditions including cardiac hypertrophy, myocardial infarction, stroke, arteriosclerosis, and heart failure.
Abstract: A surgical tool system including a handpiece with a motor and a cutting accessory with a shaft that is rotated by the handpiece motor. The handpiece includes a coupling assembly with plural locking elements for holding the accessory shaft to an output drive shaft that is actuated by the handpiece motor. The locking elements are longitudinally spaced apart from each other. The accessory shaft is formed with retention features against which the handpiece locking elements engage. The shaft retention features are in columns. The retention features in adjacent retention features are longitudinally offset from each other. This allows the coarse or fine adjustment of the extent to which the accessory shaft extends forward from the handpiece coupling assembly.
Abstract: A concentrated and one phase cleaning and disinfecting solution containing a sparingly soluble cyclic carboxylic acid. The solution has a pH of from about 0.05 to about 2, and comprises, consists essentially of, or consists of from about 2% w/w to about 8% w/w hydrogen peroxide; from about 5% w/w to about 20% w/w linear alkyl benzene sulfonic acid; from about 0.5% w/w to about 8% w/w of at least one sparingly soluble (i.e. a solubility in pure water at room temperature of less than 1% w/w) cyclic carboxylic acid, wherein the cyclic carboxylic acid is present in acid and salt form in a ratio of at least 9:1 (acid:salt); from about 2% w/w to about 10% w/w of at least one block copolymer surfactant (e.g. PLURONIC L62); and from about 4% w/w to about 15% w/w of at least one solvent.
Abstract: A device for the treatment of human or animal tissue by means of a movable instrument is disclosed. The device comprises means for generating a magnetic stator field, in which the tissue is located. For example, the means for generating the magnetic stator field may be a magnetic resonance tomograph (MRT). At least one conductor loop is provided on or in the instrument, and a generator is provided for generating a current that flows through the conductor loop in order to generate a magnetic useful field, which, in conjunction with the stator field, generates a resulting action for applying a useful force to the instrument.
Abstract: A working unit of a manipulator includes a hollow joint shaft, wires disposed as power transmitting members in the hollow joint shaft, and a distal-end working unit mounted on an end of the hollow joint shaft and movable by the wires. The wires are wound around respective tubular members in the distal-end working unit. The hollow joint shaft has a pair of visual checking holes defined in respective side walls thereof near the distal end thereof for allowing the wires to be visually checked therethrough. The visual checking holes are positioned to expose the tubular members therethrough.
