Abstract: Document retrieval from a large document storage database may be facilitated through the use of a search system configured for identifying concepts related to a specific search query provided by a user. Prior to retrieving documents for inclusion in a listing of search results, the terms included within a user-provided search query may be expanded based on relationships between terms represented within a Resource Description Framework (RDF) triplestore to generate a semantic search query. Documents linked with one or more of the terms included within the semantic search query are identified and included within the search results.

Abstract: A computer system merges location-based data sets. Each of a plurality of data sets are transformed into a standardized schema, including at least two data sets including information indicating a geographic location. The schemas of the plurality of data sets are combined by data set type to produce a resulting data set for each data set type. The schemas of a first and second data sets are joined to produce a merged data set using a machine learning model to identify corresponding rows of the schemas. The schema of the merged data set is joined with the schemas of the resulting data sets for the data set types to produce a new data set. A resulting merged data set in the standardized schema is produced. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and program product for merging location-based data sets in substantially the same manner described above.

Abstract: A delivery coordination system selects restaurant listings for presentation to a user by filtering out restaurants that are unlikely to be of interest to the user, while ensuring that restaurant listings are selected to encourage the success of all restaurants using the delivery coordination system. In response to receiving the listings request from a client device, the delivery coordination system selects a filtered set of restaurant listings from the plurality of restaurant listings stored by the delivery coordination system by applying filtering criteria to the plurality of stored restaurant listings. The delivery coordination system generates conversion scores for the restaurant in the filtered set of restaurant listings and selects restaurant listings to present to the user from the filtered set of restaurant listings based on selection factors, which can include the generated conversion scores. The delivery coordination system transmits the selected restaurant listings to the client device.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a computer system implements a service that stores a plurality of database templates that define data types supported for a non-relational database accessible to a plurality of applications. The service receives, from a developer of an application, a selection of one of the plurality of database templates to be used by the application. In response to the selection, the service issues a set of data definition language (DDL) instructions to provision the non-relational database with a schema that implements a particular data type defined by the selected template. Requests from the application to manipulate a value of the particular data type stored in the non-relational database system are serviced. In some embodiments, the servicing includes identifying a set of data manipulation language (DML) instructions to be executed and issuing the set of DML, instructions to the non-relational database.

Abstract: A system and method for customized scheduling of sources, including breaking down a source of content into at least two categories, including posts and engagements, and gathering content related to a specific source. A scheduler handles scheduling of posts and engagement for a single source and entities that are due to be crawled are sent to a scheduling queue, in which each content type for a source can have its own queue. A process points to the correct scheduler queue in order to request content to be crawled, attaches to the proper queue, processes requests, queries the social network for content, parses the response and sends any new data to be saved to the system.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes analyzing client instance performance trends to predict future client instance performance and adjusting thresholds used to send resource utilization alerts based on analyzing the client instance performance trends. In particular, a data center providing a platform as a service includes a database that stores performance data associated with client instances. The data center also includes alignment logic that temporally aligns the performance data, and a frequency based filter that compresses the aligned performance data based on frequency of values. The data center further includes dynamic threshold adjustment logic that adjusts thresholds associated with sending performance trend alerts based on analyzing the compressed set of performance data.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for generating and updating cross-account materialized views in multiple tenant database systems. A method includes defining a share object in a first account wherein the share object includes data associated with the first account. The method includes granting cross-account access rights to the share object to a second account such that the second account has access to the share object without copying the share object. The method includes generating a materialized view over the share object. The method includes updating the data associated with the first account. The method includes identifying whether the materialized view is stale with respect to the share object by merging the materialized view and the share object.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of a device that generates a re-ranking model used to re-rank a plurality of search results on a client device is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the device receives a crowd-sourced intra-domain model from a server, where the intra-domain model is a search result re-ranking model generated based on at least device interactions of a plurality of users interacting with a plurality of other devices. The device further generates a re-ranking model from the crowd-sourced intra-domain model and a local model, where the local model includes private data representing a device user's interaction with that device and the re-ranking model is used to re-rank a plurality of search results.

At least one numeric token in the relational database is converted to a textual form. Text is produced based on relations of tokens in the relational database. A set of word vectors is produced based on the text. A cognitive intelligence query, expressed as a structured query language (SQL) query, may be applied to the relational database using the set of word vectors. At least one numeric token in the relational database may be converted to a typed string comprising a heading for a column in the relational database for which the token appears and the numeric value. Converting at least one numeric token in the relational database may comprise clustering tokens in a column of the relational database using a clustering algorithm and replacing each token in the column by a cluster identifier.

Abstract: The subject technology generates a materialized view over a share object, the share object including data associated with a first account. The subject technology merges the materialized view and the share object. The subject technology determines that the materialized view is stale with respect to the share object based at least in part on the merging. The subject technology generates a refreshed materialized view with respect to the share object in response to the determining. The subject technology shares the refreshed materialized view to a second account in response to a request from the second account.

At least one image token in the relational database is converted to a textual form. Text is produced based on relations of tokens in the relational database. A set of word vectors is produced based on the text. An image token may be converted to textual form by converting the image to a tag, by using a neural network classification model and replacing the image token with a corresponding cluster identifier, by binary comparison or by a user-specified similarity function. An image token may be converted to a plurality of textual forms using more than one conversion method.

Abstract: A method implements a virtual machine for interactive visual analysis. The method receives a data visualization data flow graph, which is a directed graph including data nodes and transform nodes. Each transform node specifies a set of inputs for retrieval, where each input corresponds to a data node. Each transform node also specifies a transform operator, which identifies an operation to be performed on the inputs. Some transform nodes specify (a) a set of outputs corresponding to respective data nodes and (b) a function for use in performing the operation of the transform node. The method traverses the data flow graph according to directions of arcs between nodes in the data flow graph, thereby retrieving data corresponding to each data node and executing the respective transformation operator specified for each of the transform nodes. This generates a data visualization according to transform nodes that specify graphical rendering.

Abstract: A system time window corresponding to data to be processed is determined based on a data time of the data to be processed when the data to be processed is received in a current system time window. If the data time is within a range of the current system time window, data to be processed having a system receiving time earlier than the synchronization time point is stored, and data to be processed having a system receiving time later than the synchronization time point is immediately processed. If the data time is within a range of a previous system time window, data to be processed having a system receiving time earlier than the closing time point is immediately processed, and data to be processed having a system receiving time later than the closing time point is discarded.
