Abstract: A dual filter apparatus and a process of making a dual filter apparatus that minimizes disruption to the normal flow pattern through the filter apparatus by forming a porous medium suitable to carry a water treatment composition thereon and placing a bacteria killing material proximate the porous filter medium for in situ killing of bacteria and removal of debris from the water by screening action of the porous filter medium that entraps debris thereon.
