  • Patent number: 12340353
Abstract: In one embodiment, an intended recipient of money transmits a payment link created by the recipient to an intended sender of money, where the link contains a locator to a site of a payment provider, information about the recipient (e.g., phone number), and the amount of money to be sent. The link can be sent via email, text, IM, or other means. The sender then accesses the link, such as by clicking or tapping on the link, which launches a checkout or payment page for the sender on the payment provider site. The sender completes the payment page, and the payment is sent to the recipient by the payment provider.

  • Patent number: 12014424
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to systems for facilitating the use of autonomous vehicles (AVs), and more particularly to automated artificial intelligence (AI)-based techniques for determining an insurance premium for an AV ride based upon various factors including the evaluation of risk associated with the AV ride. An automated AI-based infrastructure is provided that uses automated machine-learning (ML) based techniques for evaluating a level of risk for any particular AV ride and then determining an insurance premium for the AV ride based on the level of risk. The insurance premium determination incorporates Usage Based Insurance Pricing (UBIP) that has been customized for autonomous driving, whereby the level of risk is predicted based on information associated with the expected usage of the AV during the ride. Thus, the insurance premium is customized for each ride and can be determined as part of calculating upfront the total price of the ride.

  • Patent number: 11538007
Abstract: A device may receive customer data, and store the customer data in a secure memory device of the device. The device may implement a backup mode in which the device utilizes the customer data to authorize requests based on determining that the device lacks a network connection. The device may receive, when the device is in the backup mode, a request for currency that includes authentication information. The device, while in the backup mode, may authorize the request for currency based on comparing the authentication information and the customer data. The device may dispense currency based on a result of comparing the authentication information and the customer data. The device may store transaction data associated with dispensing of the currency to permit the transaction data to be transmitted when the network connection is restored.

  • Patent number: 11354748
Abstract: Methods and systems for automatically mitigating risks of water damage to a property caused by insurance-related events are provided. A smart home controller and/or insurance provider remote processor may analyze data received from a smart device disposed on, within, or proximate to a property associated with monitoring water flow, as well as data received from an insurance provider. If it is determined that an actual or potential risk of water leakage exists, the smart home controller or remote processor may automatically issue commands to the smart device to take actions that mitigate the risk of water damage. The smart home controller may transmit information about the actual or potential water leakage risks and any mitigative actions to an insurance provider. The insurance provider remote processor may interpret the transmitted data and perform insurance activities, such as providing a discount or premium, and/or adjusting an insurance policy associated with the property.

  • Patent number: 11232455
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a dynamic verification value for electronic payment transactions are disclosed. A user of a portable consumer device enrolls the account identifier associated with the portable consumer device and specifies one or more customized linkage rules that identify one or more user communication devices and user identifiers that should be used to submit an authentication request message to an entity that generates a dynamic verification value. A server computer that receives an authentication request message determines whether the authentication request message complies with the specified customized linkage rules and generates a dynamic verification value.

  • Patent number: 10885585
Abstract: The present invention processes and distributes Level 2 financial data. This invention comprises a constituent component that identifies various pieces of information that are contained in stock feeds. These pieces of information are identified and keys are generated based on the various pieces of information and combinations of pieces of information. The information in the incoming stock feeds can be sorted and processed based on a particular key or keys depending on the desires of a particular client. In addition, new keys can be generated based on the preference of a particular client. This flexibility to create the various keys to be used to process feed information is different from conventional methods that use only a standard set of sorting and processing criteria for all feeds and for all clients.

  • Patent number: 10453141
Abstract: A trader is enabled to create, to visualize, to study historical performance, to track, to perform analysis on, to share, to edit and to trade a personal composite instrument (PCI) that includes a first portfolio with a first set or group of assets and their respective quantities, and a second portfolio with a second set of assets and their respective quantities, the first portfolio “traded against” the second portfolio, leading to the creation of a new independent financial entity. Being a flexible and universal tool for traders in financial markets, the PCI provides an opportunity to invent unique financial entities which can open hidden ground for performing an in-depth analysis of assets or even markets and can enhance the trader's ability to set entry and exit points for separate assets or whole portfolios as technical analysis tools and composite price history become available.
