  • Patent number: 11415145
Abstract: A vertical pump structure is adapted to be mounted on a water cooling tank. The vertical pump structure comprises a pump casing, an upper shaft seal, a shaft and a lower shaft seal assembly. An upper annular flange and a lower annular flange are formed on an inner surface of the pump casing. A drain space is formed between the two annular flanges. A drain hole communicates with the draining space and an internal space of the water cooling tank. The shaft is inserted through the two annular flanges. Two gaps, which are formed between the shaft and the two annular flanges, are respectively sealed by the upper shaft seal and the lower shaft seal assembly. Therefore, even if the lower shaft seal assembly fails, the upper shaft seal can still prevent leaking fluid from polluting the work place.

  • Patent number: 11415123
Abstract: Certain conditions require powering down an engine driving a pump. During the down sequence the pump may continue pumping servicing fluid which may not be desirable. Activating one or more control valves may throttle or prevent the servicing fluid from being pumped from the pump during the power down sequence. Activation of an input control valve may introduce pressurized fluid into a cylinder of the pump extending a rod to force or maintain a suction valve in an open position. While the suction valve is in the open position, the stroke of the plunger may not create enough pressure to pump the servicing fluid causing the servicing fluid to flow between a fluid header and a chamber of the pump. Activation of an output control valve may divert servicing fluid pumped from the pump to a reservoir instead of to the desired location.

  • Patent number: 11378083
Abstract: A technique facilitates controlling barrier fluid via a mechanical pressure regulation system which may be coupled with a rotating machine at a subsea location. The mechanical pressure regulation system enables controlled supply of the barrier fluid to the rotating machine and comprises a mechanical valve mechanism. The mechanical valve mechanism automatically maintains a pressure differential between the barrier fluid and a process fluid within a desired range. According to an embodiment, the mechanical valve mechanism is mechanically actuated via pressures applied to a pilot piston so as to provide barrier fluid to the rotating machine when the pressure differential reaches a lower limit and to dump barrier fluid when the pressure differential reaches an upper limit.
