Abstract: Audio processing apparatus comprises an audio processor operable to apply audio processing operations to two or more input audio channels; user-operable adjustment controls for adjusting processing parameters associated with the audio processing operations; a display screen for displaying icons representing audio processing operations for each of the input audio channels, the display color of at least a part of an icon being defined by a logical color index; a data array mapping a set of logical color indices to colors for display on the display screen; and a detector for detecting user operation of the adjustment controls associated with an input audio channel and, in response to such a detection, for changing the display color of at least the part of the icon associated with that channel by changing the display color defined in the data array for the corresponding logical color index.

Abstract: An apparatus and methodology for use in a signal measurement system having a graphical user interface. The apparatus constructed and arranged to simultaneously render on a display of pixels a main waveform display and a magnified waveform display is disclosed. The main waveform display is adapted to have displayed therein one or more waveforms and associated data on a first graticule with a background while the magnified waveform display is adapted to have displayed therein a magnified view of a region of the main waveform display on a second graticule with a background. The region of the main waveform display to be magnified is defined by a graphically-controllable selection window positioned over the main waveform display to encompass the region. Preferably, the operator-controllable selection window has a position and extent that may be graphically manipulated.

Abstract: A user interface for a data processing system includes a desktop workspace with a background containing one or more sets of interactive graphical elements arranged in respective repeating patterns. Each of the graphical elements of the one or more sets is responsive to user input for performing various functions associated with one or more application programs. The graphical elements of the one or more sets may change appearances in response to changes in status of one or more of the application programs.
