  • Patent number: 6634196
Abstract: A tubular lock. The lock can be directly actuated and unlocked by a key and includes an inner lock assembly mounted to an inner side of a door and an outer lock assembly mounted to an outer side of the door. The inner lock assembly includes an inner handle for turning a driving wheel of a latch assembly to retract a latch bolt. The outer lock assembly includes a lock and an actuating member operably connected between a drive member and a lock core of the lock. The driving wheel can be driven by an actuating tube of the drive member to retract the latch bolt.

  • Patent number: 6619668
Abstract: The metal static gasket forms an annular body about an axis ZZ′. The profile of the gasket in axial half-section presents an elongated S-shape and comprises a lateral first portion defining the inner peripheral surface of the gasket, a lateral second portion defining the outer peripheral surface of the gasket, said lateral first and second portions being offset from each other along the direction of the axis of the gasket. The gasket also presents a curved third portion of undulating shape having a substantially rectilinear first contact region at one of its ends, and a curved fourth portion of undulating shape having a substantially rectilinear second contact region at one of its end extending perpendicularly to the axis of the gasket in such a manner that the gasket provides sealing between two flanges solely by means of the axial pressure exerted by the flanges.

  • Patent number: 6572118
Abstract: A sealing member for sealing a joint between a pipe and a wall defining an opening is provided. The sealing member has an annular base, a projection, and preferably first and second annular flanges. The annular base has a bottom and first and second sidewalls. The projection is attached to the base for anchoring the sealing member within the wall. In some embodiments it extends radially outwardly from the base. The first and second annular flanges extend from opposite sidewalls of the base. The first and second flanges each have a top and a bottom surface. The top surfaces of each can have an annular depressed portion, and each of the bottom surfaces can have a plurality of grooves formed therein. Preferably, the base includes at least one cavity extending completely around the circumference of the sealing member.

  • Patent number: 6561556
Abstract: The invention is concerned with a closure clamp, comprising a carrier element (1) provided with a bearing (2), and a clamping lever (3) pivotable thereto, wherein one end (31) thereof is connected to the bearing (2) while the second end thereof includes a handle (32). To that effect, a pivotally arranged clamping element (5) is disposed on the clamping lever (3) between the bearing (2) and the handle (32) to detachably connect a locking element (6) provided on the W side of the bearing (2) facing away from the handle, to the carrier element (1). Provision is made according to the invention that, for swivelling the clamping element (5), the same is provided, on the side facing the handle, with a hand-operated lever (7).

  • Patent number: 6547290
Abstract: An improved door handle is provided with a housing having a plunger tunnel designed to dissipate stress forces, such as door seal loads and vibration. The plunger tunnel is D-shaped in cross-section, with a curved interior radius to preclude stress concentrations. The plunger has a complimentary D-shaped cross-section for sliding movement within the tunnel between extended and retracted positions to latch and unlatch the door.

  • Patent number: 6533250
Abstract: An energy dissipating system is mounted on the side surface of an elongated concrete median or roadway barrier and includes a longitudinally extending flexible sheet of low friction plastics material having upper and lower edge portions secured to the barrier and with an intermediate portion of the sheet defining a longitudinally extending cavity with the side surface. An elongated energy dissipating member extends horizontally within the cavity, and in one form, comprises a set of resilient cylindrical tubes of extruded plastics material with a smaller tube enclosed within a larger outer tube. In another form, the energy dissipating member includes helically extending compression plastic spring coils disposed between the resilient inner and outer tubes.

  • Patent number: 6523378
Abstract: A push-lock includes a body. The body is formed with a channel having a pair of portions. A cylinder is movable in the body between a front position and a rear position, and has a latch rotatably connected thereto. The latch defines two opposed cutouts in a periphery thereof. A clip has a pair of shanks resiliently flexible in the portions of the channel. The shanks normally abut the periphery of the latch. A spring is provided for moving the cylinder back to the front position. Additionally, the latch can be turned relative to the cylinder in such a manner that the shanks snapped in the cutout may be pushed outward by the turning latch till the shanks fully slide out of the cutouts and abut the periphery of the latch again.
