    Abstract: A high strength conduit for carrying potable water at temperatures of up to about 180.degree. F. comprising a first tubular member having a mating end portion formed from polyvinyl chloride, a second tubular member having a mating end portion also formed from polyvinyl chloride, telescopically received in the mating portion of the first tubular member, a cured adhesive composition joining said mating end portions of the first and second tubular members. The cured adhesive composition is formed from a curable composition comprising a minor proportion by weight of a thermoplastic elastomeric copolymer comprising from about 40 to about 97 weight percent of recurring units of a monovinyl aromatic monomer, from about 1 to about 30 weight percent of recurring units of an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride, from about 1 to about 30 weight percent of recurring units of an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid, and from about 1 to about 40 weight percent of recurring units of a C.sub.1 -C.sub.
