Abstract: The present invention relates to the extraction of azadirachtin from the Neem seed kernel, wherein a storage stable Neem oil-based emulsion is prepared in concentrate form for pesticide use. The emulsion comprises neem tetranortriterpenoids and neem limonoids including Azadirachtin not less than 300 ppm. The invention also relates to controlling pests by combining extracts of Neem and the custard apple, wherein the custard apple does not affect the pesticidal properties of the limonoids.

These methods involve sterilizing preparations of digestive enzymes, such as trypsin, &agr;-galactosidase and iduronate-2-sulfatase, with irradiation.
