Abstract: A vibraphone pickup has a bobbin having two coils, one for outputting an analog signal and one for outputting a digital signal. A plurality of filters and buffers are used to isolate the signals. A rare earth (or neodymium) magnet is used in the center of the bobbin. In one method of use, a vibraphone pickup is used to pick up each note of the vibraphone. The output of each vibraphone pickup is combined and fed into an amplifier.
Abstract: A system providing a music service platform includes a music controller device, a client device, and a server. The music controller device receives musical data indicative of a music performance by an individual and generates metadata characterizing the musical data. The client device includes a software application that receives the musical data and the metadata from the music controller device and presents a graphical user interface for display on the client device. The graphical user interface includes information related to the musical data and the metadata. The server receives the musical data and the metadata, generates one or more analytics associated with the musical data, and performs one or more data aggregation techniques on the musical data.

Abstract: A chord information extraction device includes a character group extractor, a determiner and a corrector. The character group extractor extracts a character group corresponding to chord information from score image data representing a music score. The determiner determines whether the character group extracted by the character group extractor follows a predetermined chord notation rule. In a case where the character group extracted by the character group extractor does not follow the chord notation rule, the corrector corrects the extracted character group to follow the chord notation rule.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for mixing audio, pertaining to the technical field of multimedia. The method includes: after acquiring an audio material to be mixed, determining a beat feature of a target audio, performing beat adjustment on the audio material based on the beat feature of the target audio; and performing audio mixing on the target audio based on the audio material adjusted by the beat adjustment.
Abstract: A stringed instrument pickup and feedback system, comprising a sound pickup device disposed on a string instrument. The sound pickup device comprises a transducer and at least one pickup, a sound processing circuit and a power supply. The pickup activates the transducer to realize resonance enhancement on the instrument body. The transducer is disposed on the string instrument unrestricted by internal bracing. The instrument can be any of pickup, guitar, ukulele, violin, Guqin, Guzheng and Mandolin. The present invention enables the construction of stringed instrument to add vibration and amplify sound of a stringed instrument using the transducer and thus reduce the dependence on rare woods in manufacturing these instruments.

Abstract: Methods and digital circuits provide frequency correction to frequency synthesizers. Dual switched-capacitor voltage detectors connected to an input signal periodically sample the voltage of the input signal, and then determine a fundamental frequency of the input signal from the output of the dual switched-capacitor voltage detectors. The sample period of the dual switched-capacitor voltage detectors is proportional to a time period between a previous pair of voltage peaks detected in the input signal, thereby eliminating harmonic components in the original signal which might otherwise cause errors in frequency estimation without causing unwanted sluggishness in the transient response of the frequency detection process. The time period between the previous pair of detected voltage peaks is used to create a decay signal that initiates a capacitor decay time for each voltage detector.

A test lead sheet receiving having a plurality of passages is received at receiving a plagiarism detector. A set of annotations describing a level of plagiarism of a plurality of elements (e.g., chord sequence, subsequences, melodic fragments (i.e., notes), rhythm, harmony, etc.) of the test lead sheet in relation to the preexisting lead sheets are generated and output via an output device.
Abstract: Method of teaching a vocal harmony involves a computing device which automatically generates a plurality of audio presentations of a musical composition in a predetermined series. Each audio presentation in the series is different from the other audio presentations in the series and is configured to assist the user in progressively learning the selected vocal harmony part. Abstract: A method for assisting a user in tuning a drum comprising the steps of: considering a strike on the drum whereby the strike is detected in a sensor signal in at least one of following domains: a time domain, a frequency domain, a complex domain; recording a first sound fragment of the strike; converting the first sound fragment from the time domain to the frequency domain; analyzing the first sound fragment in order to detect a fundamental tone with fundamental tone frequency of the drum; calculating an overtone frequency or overtone frequency range of a first overtone of the drum by means of a predetermined algorithm related to the fundamental tone frequency; setting a filter with a pass frequency band covering the calculated overtone frequency or overtone frequency range; and indicating, via a user interface, at each further strike when the frequency of the first overtone detected in the pass frequency band is higher or lower than a target overtone frequency.
