Abstract: Provided is a method and system for providing an answer message to a query message. An answer message providing method may include managing a plurality of chatrooms of an instant messaging service; receiving a query message in a preset form from a first user of a first chatroom among the plurality of chatrooms; forwarding the query message to second users through the instant messaging service; receiving an answer message to the query message from at least one of the second users; and providing the received answer message to be displayed through the first chatroom.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services.

Abstract: A computerized method for utilizing private Internet Protocol (IP) addressing for communications between components of one or more public cloud networks. The method features determining whether outbound traffic corresponds to a first type of outbound traffic being forwarded from a cloud instance supported by the gateway. In response to determining that the first type of outbound traffic is being forwarded from the cloud instance, the first type of outbound traffic is directed via a data interface of the gateway. Also, the method features determining whether the outbound traffic corresponds to a second type of outbound traffic being initiated by logic within the gateway. In response to determining that the second type of outbound traffic is being initiated by logic within the gateway, directing the second type of outbound traffic via a management interface of the gateway.

Abstract: A method of managing configurations of a data center according to a desired state of the configurations includes retrieving a running state of the configurations, comparing the running state against a first desired state of the configurations and determining a drift of the running state from the first desired state, notifying a cloud control plane of the drift, and in response to an instruction issued by the cloud control plane to apply the desired state, configuring the data center according to a second desired state.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments are directed at systems, methods, and architecture for operating a control plan of a microservices application. The control plane corresponds with data plane proxies associated with each of a plurality of APIs that make up the microservices application. The communication between the data plane proxies and the control plane enables automatic detection of service groups of APIs and automatic repair of application performance in real-time in response to degrading service node conditions.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments generally relate to techniques for tailoring messages for network communication. More specifically, the disclosed embodiments relate to systems and methods to provide customized information updates based on recipient preferences. For example, a recipient may prefer receiving updates less frequently than the system creates updates and/or may prefer to receive different levels of data in the updates. In some embodiments, a deltasnap technique is provided which allows for more efficient tailoring of the rate that update messages are provided. In some embodiments, a partitioning technique is provided which allows for more efficient tailoring of the content of update messages. In some embodiments, the deltasnap technique is provided in combination with the partitioning technique which allows for more efficient tailoring of the rate and content of the update messages.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing dynamic border gateway protocol (“BGP”) host route generation based on domain name system (“DNS”) resolution. In various embodiments, a computing system may receive, from a user device via a first network, a request to establish a communications link with an external device via a second network that is separate from the first network, based on a first uniform resource identifier (“URI”) indicative of a network location of the external device. The computing system may query a DNS resolver for an Internet Protocol (“IP”) address corresponding to a valid current IP address, based on the first URI, and may advertise the IP address and/or a route based on the IP address. A communications link may be established between the user device and the external device based on the IP address and/or the route.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, there is provided a Collective Perception Message, CPM, characterizing a plurality of Vulnerable Road Users based on a plurality of received VAMs, thereby allowing an ITS station to efficiently aggregate VAM messages from VRUs and retransmit information about the VRUs to other ITS stations. Consequently, the security is improved as some ITS stations may not be able to detect or identify VRU stations by themselves but thanks to the CPM, these stations can still be informed of the VRUs. According to other aspects, congestion is avoided while maintaining safety vis-à-vis VRUs thanks to the use of a different transmission scheme when the VRU is already characterized in a CPM sent to the ITS stations. Also, a receiving station can evaluate whether the content of a CPM can be trusted or not. Safety is thus improved. This is achieved thanks to the CPM that references a certificate.

For example, the invention can include discovering an IPv6 address of an Internet-facing device on a network, where the IPv6 address is associated with a wide area network (WAN) media access control (MAC) address and a WiFi basic service set identifier (BSSID), identifying an associated BSSID in WiFi geolocation databases based on the WAN and WiFi BSSID, and geolocating the Internet-facing device by retrieving a location record in the WiFi geolocation databases for the associated BSSID.

Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and software to manage nameservers for domain name system (DNS) requests. In one implementation, a computing element receives a domain name system (DNS) configuration from a coordination service that includes a plurality of rules. The computing element identifies an operating system configuration on the computing element and maps each of the rules to local rule implementations on the computing element based on the operating system configuration. Once the local rule implementations are identified, the computing element applies the local rule implementations on the computing element.

Abstract: Various embodiments of apparatus, systems (e.g., a gateway device) and/or methods are described for providing an anti-distraction mode to control a plurality of connected devices in an establishment. In the gateway device, a list of connected devices that are connected to the gateway device is determined by the gateway device in response to anti-distraction mode being activated in the gateway device. Each connected device comprises a transceiver configured to communicate with the gateway device. A policy is stored at the gateway device for all of the connected devices when a triggering condition occurs, and activation of anti-distraction mode is received in the gateway device. In response to the anti-distraction mode being activated in the gateway device and in response to the gateway device detecting that the triggering condition occurs, the gateway device reduces features or outputs of at least one of the connected devices.

Abstract: Mechanisms are disclosed for applying one or more heuristics to collected server configurations to detect anomalous configurations. A collection system requests configuration data, including one or more configuration values, from a plurality of configuration agents running on a plurality of hosted servers. The one or more configuration values are received from the plurality of configuration agents at the collection system. The one or more configuration values are stored in one or more databases, organized based on one or more server identifiers. The one or more configuration values are accessed, by an analysis system, from the one or more databases. One or more heuristics are applied to the one or more configuration values based on the one or more server identifiers. In response to detecting the presence of one or more anomalous server configurations, a notification of one or more server configuration issues is provided.

Abstract: A lightweight and extensible information model for machine-to-machine systems is disclosed. A service layer information management architecture uses three categories of atomic objects, subjects, actions, and descriptions. Information for use within the model is built using the atomic information objects. Application programming interfaces are used to perform operations and information processing by different nodes. Common service functions are used in the model as instances of a generic common service information model.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method is performed. A device may include an interface in communication with a network. The device may determine whether an all-active multi-homed ethernet segment (ES) associated with the interface is enabled. On a condition that an all-active multi-homed ES is enabled, the device may determine an ethernet virtual private network (EVPN) designated forwarder (DF) state of the all-active multi-homed ES. If the all-active multi-homed ES is enabled and has an ethernet virtual private network (EVPN) designated forwarder (DF) state, the device may enter a protocol independent multicast (PIM) designated router (DR) state. If an all-active multi-homed ES is enabled and does not have an EVPN DF state, the device may enter a PIM non-DR state.
