Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a packing box wherein strength is improved and efficiency of opening, content retrieval, etc. is improved. Embodiments of the invention provide a packing box obtained from an upper cover and a lower box configured from cardboard for accommodating articles therein, in which: the upper cover is obtained from a top board that covers the entire interior of the lower box and side boards that extend vertically downward from each side of the top board and substantially cover the side surfaces of the lower box; and at least one notch is provided on one of the lower edges of the upper cover.

Abstract: A blank of sheet material for forming a container includes a plurality of side panels and a glue panel coupled together in series along a plurality of generally parallel fold lines. At least one of the generally parallel fold lines has an increased stiffness. The blank also includes a plurality of bottom panels. At least one of the bottom panels includes at least one bottom corner portion that extends adjacent to and beneath a free bottom edge of a corresponding one of the corner panels and the glue panel. The blank further includes a plurality of top panels. At least one of the top panels includes at least one top corner portion that extends adjacent to and above a free top edge of a corresponding one of the corner panels and the glue panel.

Abstract: A blank of sheet material for forming a polygonal container is provided. The blank includes a bottom panel, two opposing side panels, two opposing end panels, and a reinforcing panel assembly extending from a first side edge of a first end panel of the two end panels. The reinforcing panel assembly includes a corner panel extending from the first side edge of the first end panel, a first reinforcing side panel extending from a side edge of the corner panel, a second reinforcing side panel extending from a side edge of the first reinforcing side panel, a reinforcing corner panel extending from a side edge of the second reinforcing side panel, and an inner end panel extending from a side edge of the reinforcing corner panel. The corner panel and the reinforcing corner panel are configured, upon articulation of the blank, to be positioned into face-to-face relationship to form a corner wall of the container extending from a side edge of an end wall of the container to an end edge of a side wall of the container.

Abstract: In one aspect, the disclosure is generally directed to a carton for holding at least one article. The carton comprising a plurality of panels comprising a bottom panel, a front panel foldably connected to the bottom panel, at least one back panel, a top panel, a lid panel foldably connected to the top panel. At least one end flap is foldably connected to a respective panel of the plurality of panels. A base comprises at least the bottom panel, and the front panel. A lid is pivotably attached to the base. The lid comprises the top panel and the lid panel and is movable between a closed position preventing access to the base and an open position allowing access to the base. Locking features are for releasably attaching the lid to the base in the closed position. The locking features comprises at least one male portion in the front panel and at least one female portion in the at least one end flap.

Abstract: A container of consumer goods includes a rigid outer box and a rigid inner box wherein a pull tab is configured to reseal a pre-cut opening in the inner box. The pull tab includes a cover layer larger than the pre-cut opening. The cover layer can be a piece of bundle wrap with a paper layer of the bundle wrap contacting the consumer goods inside the box. The outer box has a hinged lid permanently attached to a connecting tab of the pull tab whereby opening the hinged lid simultaneously opens the pre-cut opening in the inner box by lifting the pull tab. The connecting tab includes adhesive which is partially deadened to decrease adhesion of the connecting tab to the inner box. The pull tab can also include one or more machine readable markings to enhance automated application of the pull tab to an inner box blank during manufacturing of the container.

Abstract: A seal-end package or box for dispensing a solid pourable product includes folding major side panels foldably connected together extending laterally, and formed into a tube around a central axis. Further extending laterally is an overlapping panel similarly folded over and conforming to the tube. A slide is connected to the major side panels, with the overlapping panel having a cover panel with an opening. The slide obstructs the opening, until a thumb tab on the slide engaged by a user and moved laterally relative the axis un-obstructs the opening allowing dispensing of the product.

Abstract: A wraparound case includes a first blank component having no more than three panels including a closure panel, a first side panel and a second side panel and a second blank component includes a base panel portion having a first edge portion and a second edge portion, a third side panel, a fourth side panel, a first flap extending from the third side panel and a second flap extending from the fourth side panel. The first blank component and the second blank component are directly wrapable about a load with the third side panel being joinable to the first and second side panels and the first edge of the closure panel and the fourth side panel being joinable to the first and second side panels and the second edge of the closure panel. The first flap, the second flap and the base panel portion forming exactly one reclosable face.

Abstract: A corrugated container is disclosed having a plurality of walls, an interior cargo space, and a top panel. The plurality of walls define the interior cargo space. The top panel comprises a handle and a handle aperture. The top panel is disposable over the cargo space. The handle comprises a raised position and a stored position. The handle is housed within the handle aperture when in the stored position. The handle extends out of the handle aperture and is transverse to the top panel when in the raised position.

Abstract: An exemplary container for consumer goods includes a rigid outer box and a rigid inner box. The outer box has a hinged top configured to provide access to an inner volume of the outer box. The inner box is a laminate of paperboard and an inner liner and pre-cut opening configured to provide access to an inner volume of the inner box. A pull tab covers the opening. The pull tab includes a first adhesive that releasably adheres an edge portion of the pull tab to the inner box and a second adhesive that permanently adheres the pull tab to the inner box and the outer box.

Abstract: A container for consumer goods includes a rigid outer box, a rigid inner box, and a pull tab arranged over a pre-cut opening in the inner box. The pull tab includes a paper liner larger than the pre-cut opening such as a piece of bundle wrap with a paper layer of the bundle wrap contacting the consumer goods inside the box. The outer box has a hinged lid permanently attached to a connecting tab of the pull tab whereby opening the hinged lid simultaneously opens the opening in the inner box by lifting the pull tab. The pull tab includes a re-stick adhesive arranged in a single zone which adheres the piece of bundle wrap to cover the opening and the re-stick adhesive outward of the piece of bundle wrap allows the pull tab to reseal to the outer surface of the inner box.

Abstract: A method of forming a box is discussed. A sheet of foldable material has a central region and tabs extending from the central region around its perimeter. Each tab includes a first fold line at the central region, and second and third spaced apart fold lines parallel to the first fold line. A reinforcement ring has a perimeter corresponding to the perimeter of the central region and a thickness greater than a thickness of the sheet. The reinforcement ring is disposed on the central region. Each tab is folded along the first fold line to extend transversely to the central region against the reinforcement ring, along the second fold line to extend inwardly over the reinforcement ring, and along the third fold line to extend transversely to the central region against the reinforcement ring. The tabs folded around the reinforcement ring define side wall(s) of the box.

Abstract: A collapsible bulk material container apparatus, kit and method of assembly employ a forming member having a plurality of interconnected sidewalls, a locking mechanism that fixedly orients the sidewalls continuously about an internal bulk material receiving cavity, and a tubular open-ended woven fabric sleeve that supportively overlies the sidewalls. A connector system rapidly engageable during container assembly, fixedly secures the support sleeve of an unloaded container against subsequent upward movement along the sidewalls. Strategically located friction reducing surfaces of the forming member facilitates sliding assembly of the sleeve over the forming member sidewalls.

Abstract: The present invention provides a gravity fed dispenser. The gravity fed dispenser includes a tower portion including a front wall, a back wall, a top wall, a bottom wall, and a pair of side walls, and an insert portion located within the tower portion, the insert portion including a front wall, and a pair side of walls attached to opposite edges of the front wall. The dispenser also includes an opening in a lower portion of the tower portion, and at least one tab located in the opening. The tower portion and insert portion are preferably made from a single blank of material. In another embodiment, the insert portion includes a front wall, and a first wing and a second wing attached to opposite edges of the front wall.

Abstract: A transport container has an outer container with a bottom, two sets of side walls and at least one lid. Vacuum insulation panels are arranged on the inside of the outer container, at least on the side walls. First vacuum insulation panels on first side walls which are located opposite one another, abut at the edges against inside surfaces of second vacuum insulation panels on second side walls, which are located opposite one another and on the bottom. The first vacuum insulation panels are realized as planar rectangular-shaped vacuum insulation panels with a thickness D. The second vacuum panels are realized as panels with a sealing edge that comprises a certain residual width B. The thickness D is greater than the residual width B. The edges of the first vacuum insulation panels cover the sealing edges of the second vacuum insulation panels and otherwise abut against adjoining planar surfaces of the second vacuum insulation panels.

Abstract: A collapsible bulk material container with a unique outer support sleeve and method of manufacture thereof are disclosed. The initial inner circumference of an oversized continuous woven tubular support sleeve is adjustably sized to mattingly match the outer peripheral circumference of a bulk material container forming member which it is designed to support. One or more adjustment tails are formed from the continuous sleeve material to accurately reduce the initial inner sleeve circumference to an adjusted inner circumference. The sizing operation can be performed during initial manufacture of the sleeve or prior to assembly of the sleeve to the forming member.

Abstract: A folder and method of making a panel with a plurality of foldable tab extensions. The extensions include first and second regions extending away from the panel, and having scored fold lines therebetween. The uppermost tab region has a releasable adhesive as does a portion of the panel. The panel has a releasable coating or surface such when the tab extensions are folded, either at the first or second region along the fold lines, adhesive on the second region will mate with surface on the panel. To reduce memory effect at the fold, the score lines can be triple scored by parallel two or three parallel score lines. The central score line can be shallower than the parallel scores on either side thereof.

Abstract: A dual-opening carton has a front, rear, and opposing side panels. A flap extends over the top of the carton, allowing the top to be opened and re-closed. A score line extends around the carton to facilitate the removal of a top portion of the carton. The score line has segments extending along the front panel, the rear panel, and rear portions of the side panels that have a relatively low cut length to land length ratios that maintain relatively high structural integrity. The score line also has segments extending along the front of the side panels have a relatively high cut length to land length ratio to facilitate tear propagation. The score line extending along the side panels is angled so that a pull force vector removing the top portion of the carton runs along a plane generally parallel to the score line.

Abstract: A construct for holding at least one article. The construct comprises a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the construct. The plurality of panels can at least partially form a corner of the construct. The construct further comprises locking features for at least partially interlocking the construct with a separate construct. The locking features can comprise at least a locking tab and an engagement aperture, and the locking tab can be proximate the engagement aperture at the corner of the construct.

Abstract: A blank for forming a carton, the blank including a first panel and a second panel adjoining the first panel along a fold line and extending in a longitudinal direction of the blank. A pair of side panels adjoins the second panel at respective fold lines. The side panels extend from the second panel in a transverse direction of the blank. The side panels each having a side panel flap adjoining at a fold line, the side panel flaps extending from the side panels in the longitudinal direction of the blank, toward the first panel. The blank further includes a third panel adjoining the second panel along a fold line and extending in the longitudinal direction of the blank. The blank further includes a fourth panel adjoining the third panel along a fold line and extending in the longitudinal direction of the blank.

Abstract: A blank for folding a box is proposed that allows folding a box of which the only seams substantially parallel to a bottom and a top plane of the box are a seam for attaching a first side panel to a first top side panel, a seam for attaching a second side panel to a second top side panel, and a seam for attaching a top end panel to a second end panel so that the seams are formed on an external surface of the box and are situated at a same distance from the bottom panel.
