Abstract: The invention relates to a document folder (10, 110, 200) with a document pocket (12), defined by a front cover (14) and a back cover (16) made of plastic foil, used for holding documents, comprising a label strip (24) movable in relation to the document pocket (12) that, in a first position, extends at least partially beyond the outline of the document pocket (12) on one first side (20). According to the invention, the label strip (24) is permanently connected to the document pocket (12) and can be folded into a second position, around a fold (22) parallel to the first side (20), onto the front cover (14) or the back cover (16).

Abstract: In one aspect, a rolling information display apparatus for use with a roller grill includes an elongated envelope. A cap is removably positioned over at least one opening of the envelope. An information bearing medium is removably positioned inside the envelope. In one embodiment, a sealing member is disposed to create a substantially watertight seal over at least one opening of the envelope. In another aspect, a rolling information display apparatus for use with a roller grill is a cylindrical rolling member having one or more rolling surfaces rolling in contact with heated rolling surfaces of the grill. The cylindrical rolling member also has one or more recessed surfaces bearing information about food items offered for sale on the grill. The recessed surfaces are provided in regions of the rolling member that are of diameter less than regions of the rolling member in which the rolling surfaces are provided.

Abstract: One embodiment of an orbital sign assembly, allowing for attachment to and full pivot or orbit capability of the attached signage around a horizontal run of span wire or other support member. Any one traffic signage is supported from a horizontal run of a span wire or other support member by a orbital sign assembly comprising a sign bracket (10) with attachment points at opposing ends and center, a pivot attachment (2) allowing 360 degree pivoting of the sign, which adjoins the sign bracket (10) to the a cable saddle (1) which contains two pivot attachment rails (3) for limiting side to side movement of the pivot attachment on its track. Conventional U-bolts (5) are located within the cable saddle and are used to clamp down to the span wire while still allowing traffic signal cables to be inserted through a cable slot (4) within the cable saddle (1). A cant tilt slot (11) is located on the sign bracket for leveling signage.

Abstract: Apparatus for forming a band into a persistent loop. The band incorporating the apparatus has a hole portion which contains a hole, a tongue portion which fits through the hole, and an adhesive attachment area on one or both of the hole and tongue portions. The band is made into a persistent loop by drawing the tongue portion through the hole and attaching the adhesive attachment area to the loop's outside surface. The size of the loop may be adjusted by varying the amount of the tongue portion which is drawn through the hole. A loop may be temporarily preformed by engaging a structure on the tongue portion with the hole. In embodiments in which the band is made of stiff material, the engaging structures may be the edges of the tongue portion and the edges of the hole. The disclosed embodiment of the apparatus is an identification band.

Abstract: Flat panel display mounts configured to rotate about a vertical axis and at least substantially maintain rigidity about a horizontal axis comprise a mounting member configured to receive a flat panel display thereon, and an arm member attached to the mounting member. The arm member includes at least one hinge on at least one of a first and second coupling members. Methods of forming a flat panel display mount are disclosed. A modular sign including a housing, at least one sign panel, and a flat panel display mount is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a guide and tensioning system for a billboard, comprising a facing area surrounded by trim pieces. The trim pieces each comprise a back plate, a side plate and a front plate. Guide groups may be located at various locations along the outside edge of the back plate. The guide groups may comprise an arced guide located between two tab guides or a keeper tab may be centered over the arced guide. The guide group may also comprise a clip that selectively secures to the arced guide. The clip has a complimentary shape to the arced guide and to a gap in the back plate. Hook-like structures on the clip selectively engage with the end edge portions of the arced guide. When engaged with the arced guide, the clip preferably prevents a cable member from falling behind the back plate.

Abstract: A recipient verification system including a band and a label strip. The band includes a base, a trailing shield segment, and a strap. The band defines a band identification portion displaying a band identifier, as well as opposing passages. The trailing shield segment is disposed over the identification portion. The strap extends from the base and terminates at a tail end. The label strip extends from the base and includes at least one removable label displaying the predetermined band identifier. In an initial state, the strap is free of the band identification portion. In the worn state, the strap is wrapped about a wearer's appendage, with the tail end passing through at least one of the passages and a section of the strap maintained along the identification portion. The predetermined band identifier displayed on the identification portion is visible through the trailing shield segment in the worn state.

The second tab (24) is cut from the first tab (16) to define an aperture (18) in the first tab for receiving a hanger rod (62) of a product display, and then the second tab (24) is folded from the first tab (16) and aligned adjacent the third tab (38). Protuberant lance portions (30) are formed from a surface (26) of the second tab (24) and extend toward the third tab (38). A hang tag (50) is placed between the second tab (24) and the third tab (38), with the aperture (18) in the first tab (16) aligned adjacent a hanger aperture (54) of the hang tag (50), and then the second tab (24) is pushed toward the third tab (38) with the protuberant lance portions (30) extending through the hang tag (50) and against the third tab (38) to secure hang tag (50) to the tag holder (12).

Abstract: Disclosed is a unitary sheet-like merchandise labeling article that has a labeling tag flatly conjoined along a unifying flat bond zone with a flexible elastic layer that extends away from the tag and includes an elastic fastening loop. The loop sides that define the loop are wider than the thickness of the elastic layer. Further, the flexible elastic layer that extends away from the tag has a thickness greater than the thickness of the tag and has a dispersion zone adjacent the unifying flat bond zone. The dispersion zone allows dissipation of elastic loop in-line stretching forces sufficiently to reduce transmission of such forces into the bond zone.

Abstract: The biodegradable badge has a paper name tag placed within a translucent envelope carried by a lanyard secured to the envelope by at least one clamp. The paper name tag degrades readily. The translucent envelope shows the name tag but upon disposing of the envelope, it degrades in the waste stream and at a landfill. The envelope has a material that degrades rapidly by solar, thermal, and chemical action with minimal release of toxic and volatile organic compounds. The lanyard also degrades readily in the waste stream with material such as textile blends or that of the envelope. The clamp joins the lanyard to the envelope. Designed for single use, the clamp strongly grips the lanyard and then the envelope, and then the clamp degrades when placed in the waste stream. The entire biodegradable badge poses no long-term pollution of the environment as it uses formulations, such as polyethylene terephthalate (g) and poly lactic acid, along with natural fibers such as cotton and wool.

Abstract: A system for a 3-D tab for a folder, a retrofit for existing folders to have a 3-D tab and a method of making same is disclosed. The 3-D tab is created by an extension or attachable element which can be folded onto itself so that one edge surface is at an angle relative to the panels of the file folder allowing it to be read from the side. This also aids in allowing the tab to be fed through a printer.

Abstract: A banner stand having an upright display mode and a collapsed transport mode, the banner stand comprising a banner presenting graphics thereon, a base and a post extending upwardly from the base, a support member selectively operably coupleable with the post to support the banner in an upright display mode, feet selectively changeable from a transport position to a operative position have an exposed alignment surface that cooperates with another such alignment surface on an adjacent banner stand to angularly and positionally control the respective banner stands to position as desired the respective banners. Tops of the banner stands may be coupled, such as by magnets, to further support and control the spacing and positioning of the banners.

Abstract: A vehicle identification card has the words SERVICE and READY on its front and rear sides, respectively, and includes a top segment having a horizontal band of static cling vinyl covered by a removable protective liner. Upon removal of the protective liner, the card can be adhered to the inside of a vehicle windshield with the word SERVICE visible from outside the vehicle and the top segment may be folded 180 degrees and adhered to the inside of the vehicle windshield with the word READY visible from outside the vehicle. The card is preferably a two section card with the before mentioned construction in an upper section and having a lower section which includes a removable key tag and a removable vehicle claim ticket. Service personnel can place the card on, and remove the card from, the inside of the vehicle windshield without bodily entering the vehicle.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a linear series (110) of connected unitary sheet-like merchandise labeling articles (10), each of which comprises a labeling tag (12) flatly cojoined along a unifying flat bond zone (14) with a flexible elastic layer (16) that extends away from the tag (12) and includes an elastic fastening loop (20). Adjacent labeling articles (10) of the series (110) are ruptureably connected in a manner permitting the series (110) to be handled as a unit while at the same time permitting ruptureable separation of individual merchandise labeling articles (10) from the series (110). In one embodiment, the linear series (110) is wound into roll form (210).
