Abstract: A seed planting unit of an agricultural implement may include a wheel support arm having an upper portion and a lower portion. A wheel may be rotatably supported by the lower portion of the wheel support arm, the wheel configured to contact the soil surface to define a penetration depth setting for the ground engaging tool relative to the soil surface. A depth stop member may be provided in operative association with one of the support structure or the wheel support arm. A depth adjustment member may be selectively axially movable relative to the other of the support structure or the wheel support arm to vary a relative distance between an abutment portion of the depth adjustment member configured to abut against the depth stop member and the other of the support structure or the wheel support arm to set the penetration depth setting for the ground engaging tool.

Abstract: A handrail positioning apparatus for accurately positioning a handrail during the process of installing the handrail in an inclined position on a building wall above an inclined stairway. The apparatus may include two vertically adjustable stanchions positionable at the upper and lower ends of the stairway. Miniature platforms are tiltably mounted on the upper end portions of the stanchions to underlie end areas of a handrail. C-clamps may be used to clamp the handrail to the platforms. The platforms are so tiltable that the platforms can seat flatwise against the handrail, whatever the slope or inclination of the rail, and the stanchions are vertically adjustable to control the rail slope and rail height.
Abstract: A joint for a vehicle steering linkage comprises a housing and a ball stud. The housing has a socket which contains the ball end of the ball stud, and has a sleeve which receives the end of a tie rod. The sleeve has an external, first clamping surface which is inclined with respect to the axis of the sleeve. The joint further comprises a clamp which clamps the tie rod in the sleeve. The clamp includes a clamping member and a threaded nut. The clamping member has a second clamping surface, and is free of a thread for engaging the thread on the tie rod. The threaded nut moves the clamping member relative to the sleeve and the tie rod, and moves the second clamping surface in sliding contact with the first clamping surface.
