  • Patent number: 11316791
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to scalable network security functions and handling of packet flows between network security zones in a communications network. Packets that are part of a bidirectional packet flow between the network security zones are received, and a determination is made as to an instance of a security application to which to assign the bidirectional packet flow for security processing. The determination is made based on relative loading of a plurality of identical instances of the security application running on a host machine. All of the received packets that are part of the bidirectional packet flow are directed for processing on the host machine by the one of the security application instances.

  • Patent number: 11283672
Abstract: The techniques describe detecting connectivity failure of an aggregated interface. To monitor connectivity of the aggregated interface, a packet processor of a plurality of packet processors is set as a session master responsible for managing an active forwarding plane connectivity detection session with a peer session master node. The other local packet processors of the virtual network node are selected as session standby nodes that each have a passive forwarding plane connectivity detection session running to the peer session master node. If a session master node goes down (i.e., by link or node failure), one of the local session standby nodes may detect the failure and is set as a new session master node by activating its passive session having the same session parameters.

  • Patent number: 11265375
Abstract: A method of transmitting distributed data over a channel includes distributing data from a data source to N number of collaborating transmitter devices operable to synchronously transmit N number of contributing data signals based on the data to a receiver over a channel. Channel state information of the channel between each transmitter device and the receiver is obtained. A spatial spectral weight (SSW) filter for each transmitter device based on the obtained channel state information is determined. The SSW filter associated with each transmitter device is applied to each contributing data signal transmitted from the associated transmitter device. The N number of contributing data signals filtered by the SSW filters are transmitted through the channel to the receiver, such that the contributing data signals are received at the receiver synchronously and in substantial phase alignment such that the contributing data signals coherently combine to form a coherently combined data signal.

  • Patent number: 11246155
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may communicate in an unlicensed spectrum (e.g., a shared radio frequency spectrum band). As such, the UE may determine a codebook size for transmitting hybrid access request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) feedback with respect to the unlicensed spectrum. Accordingly, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a number of HARQ processes with which the UE has been configured. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a number and/or duration of downlink channel monitoring occasions indicated by the base station. In some cases, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a combination of the techniques described herein.
