  • Patent number: 10654204
Abstract: A method for forming an encapsulation assembly, and a vehicle window are provided. The method includes: providing a reinforcement component; forming a primer layer covering a surface of the reinforcement component; performing a heating treatment on the reinforcement component after the primer layer is formed, to elevate a temperature of the reinforcement component; and injecting a gasket material in a mold onto the surface of the reinforcement component with elevated temperature to form a gasket. The vehicle window includes a glass; and the encapsulation assembly formed by the above method. The gasket may bind with the primer layer more closely. That is to say, binding force between the reinforcement component and the gasket may be increased. In this way, the gasket may not easily detach from the reinforcement component.

  • Patent number: 10645833
Abstract: A device includes a joining partner, which protrudes at a submersion depth into a recess filled at least partially with a fixing element in a substrate surface of a substrate. A compensating element is situated between the joining partner and the fixing element. The compensating element is situated at least partially in the fixing element within the submersion depth of the joining partner. Accordingly, the compensating element is in contact with the joining partner and with the fixing element. In this way, an expansion change or a movement of the fixing element, of the substrate or of the joining partner may be compensated for by a compression or elongation of the compensating element. A crack formation may be avoided or its effect may be minimized by the sealing function.

  • Patent number: 10632710
Abstract: A vehicle interior panel includes an engraved image at a decorative side of the panel. The image is produced by selectively removing a film layer from a compression molding to expose an underlying surface of a substrate layer in a desired pattern. The substrate layer is formed from a composite material including natural fibers. A laser beam is configured to remove the film layer and to cauterize the natural fibers along the pattern. The cauterization has an anti-aging effect on the natural fibers by increasing color stability and water resistance of the exposed composite material.
