Abstract: Disclosed is an approach for coordinating via two browser APIs with a payment service. The method includes receiving input from a user indicating a desire to purchase a product from a merchant site, and receiving, based on the input, at a browser and via a first API between the browser and the merchant site, a payment request from the merchant site for payment data. In response to the payment request, the method includes communicating, from the browser and via a second API between the browser and the payment service, a payment request event to the payment service, wherein the payment service can process a payment for the product. The method includes receiving, at the browser and from the payment service and via the second API, a confirmation of the payment and communicating, from the browser and via the first API to the merchant site, the confirmation.

Abstract: A system and method for providing users an assessment tool for determining the level of demand for domain names. The assessment tool is configured to receive, by a server communicatively coupled to a network, a request from a requester. The request is used to identify a domain name and determine whether the domain name is registered. When the domain name is not registered, a search metric for the domain name is determined and a first user interface listing the domain name and the search metric is displayed. The first user interface enables the requester to purchase the domain name.

Abstract: Disclosed is an updated browser having an API for communicating payment data between the browser and a site for processing payments of purchases and to reduce the number of user interactions needed for a purchasing process. The method includes receiving, via the user interface, an interaction by a user with an object associated with a site, the interaction indicating a user intent to make a purchase, receiving, based on the interaction and via an application programming interface, a request from the site for payment data in connection with the purchase and transmitting, to the site and via the application programming interface, the payment data, wherein the payment data confirms the purchase or can be used to process or deliver a product associated with the purchase.

Abstract: Embodiments for creating a unified catalog include systems and methods that import catalog data from one or more underlying catalog systems. The systems provide a user interface to a user for browsing items from the catalog data and receive a request for at least one selected item from the user. The systems also determine an item identifier for the at least one selected item and match the at least one selected item to at least one source catalog selected from the one or more underlying catalog systems based on the identifier.

Abstract: Disclosed is an approach for managing a dialog between a user and a merchant as part of a purchase. The method includes receiving a posting of an item through a social networking site, wherein the social networking site receives and transmits posted items from a posting entity to receiving entities. When the posting references a product in a product database, the posting includes a payment process initiation object. Clicking on object transitions the user to a dialog application that engages in a dialog between the user and the merchant. The dialog application includes payment processing capabilities such that the user can complete the purchase via the dialog application.

The memory can store machine readable instructions. The one or more processors can execute the machine readable instructions to store inventory information on the client memory. The inventory information can include a product instance. Updated inventory information can be received via the client communication module. The product instance can be updated according to the updated inventory information. The dynamic web page can be populated with identification objects. The identification objects can be associated with the inventory information. A product order request can be transmitted to an inventory exchange server. The product order request can be encoded to initiate a product transaction via the inventory exchange server.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for a cloud resource marketplace for third-party capacity are disclosed. A system includes a plurality of resources of a primary network, and a resource manager. The resource manager implements a reservation interface allowing a client to select and reserve resources of the primary network. In response to a resell request from a third-party resource provider, requesting advertisement of the availability of a third-party resource via the reservation interface, the resource manager may determine whether to resell the third-party resource based on one or more acceptance criteria. In response to determining to resell the third-party resource, the resource manager may indicate, via the reservation interface, a pricing policy associated with the third-party resource, an interruptibility setting of the third-party resource, and a level of compatibility of the third-party resource with a control interface implemented to allow clients to perform operations on resources of the primary network.

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring a gas station can be used to prevent deceptive practices, such as a gas station that deceives a refueling amount or supplies inferior fuel. The gas station monitoring system includes: at least one telematics terminal that collects refueling information and transmits the refueling information to the outside; a credit card company server that transmits payment information of a gas station to the outside; a traffic information providing server that transmits traffic information including a position of the gas station to the outside; and a telematics server that determines the gas station to be a dishonest gas station that deceives a refueling amount by comparing information that is transmitted from the at least one telematics terminal and the payment information.

A sound vendor receives the sound file from a sound creator and analyzes the sound file to automatically determine a beats-per-minute value and a musical key value. The sound file is stored, in association with the beats-per-minute value and the musical key value, within a database of the sound vendor. A web interface is generated to interact with the user to receive a search request defining at least one of the beats-per-minute value and the musical key value. The sound file is selected from the database based upon the search request, a financial agreement between the user and the sound creator is completed for sale of the sound file to the user, and the sound file is sent to the DAW.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices for unifying access to multiple websites or other information sources such that the user only needs to visit one location, and utilize one input search field. That one location can be a website, an application, a search bar in a web browser, etc. Rather than navigating to a website to perform a search in the context of that website, a user can instead navigate to or open a generalized search field. Via the generalized search field, the system can implicitly or explicitly process and analyze the input from the user and the resulting context. Thus, the user goes to the website second, after the search is entered. This approach reduces the number of interactions, starting when the user opens a browser or application, to get to a purchase or a search result.
