Abstract: A guide rail type flip-up mechanism includes a base unit including a first connection member affixed to a main unit of a flip electronic product and a guide rod and a first pivot axle disposed at one same side relative to the first connection member, a linkage unit including a pivoting member with one end thereof pivotally connected to the first pivot axle and an opposite end thereof providing a second pivot axle and a displacement member with a third pivot axle coupled to the guide rod and movable back and forth along the guide rod, and a flip member including a second connection member affixed to the display of the flip electronic product and a first axle barrel and a second axle barrel located at one lateral side of the second connection member and respectively coupled to the second pivot axle and third pivot axle of the linkage unit.
Abstract: A grommet for installation in an opening of a panel comprises an elastically deformable material having a longitudinal axis extending from a proximal end to a distal end of a grommet body. The grommet body comprises an aperture extending longitudinally through the grommet body between the proximal end and the distal end. A wall-engaging segment defines a longitudinal segment of the aperture and is located to be enclosed by a wall of the opening when the grommet is installed in the panel. A clamping element occludes the aperture in the wall-engaging segment and comprises at least one longitudinally extending through-hole sized and configured to receive an elongated element. The clamping element is located to apply a compressive force on the elongated element to retain the elongated element in the through-hole of the grommet body responsive to disposition of the wall-engaging segment in the opening of the panel.
Abstract: Technologies are described for a fully integrated multi-pivot hinge module to rotatably secure portions of a computing device. The multi-pivot hinge module includes multiple sequential frames that are radially aligned and configured to control a relative order of opening and closing of each individual frame. The multi-pivot hinge module includes friction, timing and kinematic components for controlling the order of rotation, degree of rotation and increasing stability of the module.

Abstract: A door handle may be mounted to a door with concealed fasteners. The fasteners do not engage the door itself, but rather engage a top plate that is mounted to the door. The fasteners are inserted into a hidden portion of the door handle and generate an opposing force as they press against a bulging portion of the top plate to produce a force that retains the door handle in place. The force generated also urges the door handle into a bottom plate on an opposing side of the door handle. The bottom plate includes a first and second planar section. The second planar section of the bottom plate is received into a receiving slot of the door handle. As a result, the door handle is retained on the door without any visible fasteners.

Abstract: A door hinge is provided to slant such that a free end of a door is rotated obliquely upward while the door is opened, and an energizing type balancer to assist an opening/closing operation of the door is provided. A hinge axis of the door hinge slants relative to a vertical line, having an upper side thereof being positioned on an inward side in a vehicle width direction and on a forward side in a vehicle longitudinal direction such that a locus of the free end of the door while the door is opened becomes substantially horizontal or lowers in an opening direction at a point before the door is opened to a maximum open position.
