  • Patent number: 5915766
Abstract: Locking devices for locking two components that move relative to one another such as a housing and a cover are disclosed. The locking devices have two catches disposed on one component and opposite to one another and symmetrically with respect to a stop disposed on the second component and arranged in a plane of symmetry between the opposing catches. The catches have hook ends facing the plane of symmetry and the two catches are connected to a common shaft at the ends of the catches facing away from the hook ends. The common shaft is disposed in the plane of symmetry and is movable within the plane of symmetry toward and away from the stop. The shaft is arranged on a spindle disposed in the plane of symmetry or parallel to the plane of symmetry and engaged with a motor-driven gear to effect movement of the shaft. The catches have longitudinally-extending guide elements whose longitudinal axis does not run parallel to the plane of symmetry.

  • Patent number: 5916282
Abstract: The invention relates to a catch for a door, especially a switchboard door, with a lock plate which can be secured to the door and bears a door lock and a bolt cover guided adjustably on the lock plate which can be secured in a position covering the door lock by means of a cover lock. Complete sealing with substantially increased security against unauthorized access to the door lock is attained in that the door lock takes the form of a casement lock and the cover lock that of a cylinder lock, a partial cover is secured to the lock plate which overlaps with the bolt cover in the locked position at the contact point and forms a sealed lock cover, and a cover for the cylinder lock is rotatably fitted on the bolt cover.

  • Patent number: 5897148
Abstract: A door latch for latching the vehicle door in the closed position includes a fork bolt pivotally mounted on the latch housing for movement between the latching position engaging a striker in an unlatching position to unlatch from the striker and permit opening of the door. A detent lever is pivotally mounted on the latch housing for movement between an engaging position engaging the fork bolt in its latching position and a disengaging position disengaged from the fork bolt to permit pivoting of the fork bolt to its unlatching position. A spring acts between the detent lever and the latch housing to urge the detent lever to the engaged position. A catch member is provided to retain the detent lever in the disengaged position and block pivoting movement of the detent member to the engaging position in response to absence of the spring.

  • Patent number: 5893593
Abstract: A relay assembly for a vehicle sliding door comprises an outer opening lever mounted on a base plate for releasing a latch unit by operation of an outside open handle, a locking lever mounted on the base plate and having an unlocked position and a locked position, an inner opening lever mounted on the base plate for releasing the latch unit by operation of an inside open handle, a child-proof lever mounted on the base plate and having a non-proof position and a proof position, and a ratchet lever mounted on the base plate and coupled to the latch unit through a rod or wire. The locking lever and child-proof lever are pivotally mounted on the base plate by a first shaft, and are provided on opposite sides of the base plate, respectively. The inner opening lever and outer opening lever are pivotally mounted on the base plate by a second shaft parallel to the first shaft, and are provided on opposite sides of the base plate, respectively.
