    Abstract: The present invention provides a valve which makes it possible to reduce the diameter of the vacuum exhaustion pipings for making the facility for the vacuum exhaustion system small, as a result lowering the costs, and making the vacuum exhaustion time short, and also which can prevent the corrosions, cloggings, and seal leakages inside the piping system caused by the accumulation of substances produced by the decomposition of the gas. Specifically, the aluminum passivation is applied on the piping parts, i.e. the valve and others, used in the vacuum exhaustion system to inhibit the gas decomposition caused by the temperature rise at the time of the baking so that components for the reduction in the diameter size in the vacuum exhaustion system are provided. The corrosions, cloggings and seat leakages caused by the gas decomposition are prevented.

The top and bottom walls are separated by a height (l1) at the inlet and are connected by two side walls. The side walls are separated by a width (h) at the inlet, wherein the ratio of height to width ranges at the inlet from about 0.001 to about 1. A compression region is formed by the top wall, bottom wall and side walls, wherein said top and bottom walls either are or are not symmetric about a central longitudinal axis of the compression region.

    Abstract: A device for prevention of particulate contamination of a valve fitting and for notification of whether actual access or tampering or potential access or tampering of a fluid from a fluid tank connected to the valve and/or the valve has occurred, featuring a fitting block which is insertable within the fitting or capable of receiving the fitting, and first and second straps bendable about the valve and fastenable to each other. One of the straps may include a ring through which a valve burst disk is insertable when the strap is bent about the valve. If the device was compromised and the cylinder was removed for access to the valve fitting, the ring of one of the straps would remain on the burst disk even though the cylinder was removed from the fitting. Thus, the compromised device would remain on the valve indicating that access to the valve or fluid had been attempted or achieved.

    Abstract: A system and method for dewatering a subsurface vault housing a portion of a pipeline is provided. The dewatering system includes a fluid inlet pipe adapted for fluidly communicating with the pipeline and redirecting fluid being transported by the pipeline to a fluid pump system. The fluid pump system includes a pump capable of being operated solely by the redirected fluid for removing fluids, such as water, from within the subsurface vault. A fluid outlet pipe in fluid communication with the fluid pump system returns fluid not used to operate the fluid pump system back to the pipeline for being transported downstream from the dewatering system. A liquid level sensor is used for generating and transmitting a signal to a valve when the water within the subsurface vault exceeds a predetermined level for permitting the redirected fluid to flow to the fluid pump system.
