Abstract: A vacuum station is used for storing sewage from a vacuum sewage pipe and then delivering the sewage to a sewage treatment plant or the like. The vacuum station includes a collection tank for collecting sewage, a plurality of vacuum pumps for depressurizing and pressurizing an interior of the collection tank, and a controller for controlling the plurality of vacuum pumps. The controller controls at least one of the vacuum pumps so as to rotate in normal direction so that the interior of the collection tank is depressurized to collect sewage into the collection tank, and at least one of the vacuum pumps so as to rotate in reverse direction when the sewage in the collection tank reaches a predetermined sewage level so that the interior of the collection tank is pressurized to discharge the sewage from the collection tank.
Abstract: A unitary valve housing has an upper and lower portion. The upper portion has an inner chamber for accommodating two spaced apart balls and a cylindrical side skirt with oppositely positioned openings. The lower portion is cylindrical in shape and has a top shelf with adjacent circular openings for seating the two balls and openings communicating with a bottom of the lower portion. The two openings on the upper portion side skirt are aligned with oppositely positioned openings in a side of the lower housing. A secondary shelf is located in the lower housing below each of the two circular openings contiguous with the side openings. A lower end of the lower housing portion is attached to a conduit.
Abstract: A fuel tank (1) has a constructional unit which can be preassembled and comprises a surge chamber (3) and venting device (6). The constructional unit is fastened to the bottom of the fuel tank (1) and has spring arms for prestressing openings (12, 13), which are provided for venting the fuel tank (1), against the upper wall of the fuel tank (1). The fuel tank (1) can be fitted in a particularly simple manner.
Abstract: The relief valve assembly (10) includes a tube (24) having a circular threaded portion (30) adjacent a first end (28) that rotatbly receives an interconnection means. The tube other end has male threads (34) for connection to a water-use point. A valving means actuator (46) has a tapered head (50) which can be manually operated to be located in blocking or unblocking relation within an opening (44) in the tube (26) for selectively emitting liquid to the ambient and reducing internal tube water pressure. A system lock (57) enables selective locking or unlocking of the relief valve assembly (10) as desired.
