Abstract: The present invention discloses a filter comprising a tube extending from a first end to a second end and having a bore with an internal cross-sectional area. The tube comprises an inlet with an inlet cross-sectional area which is positioned through the first end of the tube. The tube also comprises an outlet with an outlet cross-sectional area, wherein the inlet cross-sectional area is less than the outlet cross-sectional area and so debris small enough to enter the inlet will tend not to block the outlet, which is larger. The filter further comprises a plurality of further inlets, often slots, in the tube between an outside thereof and the bore. In a preferred embodiment, the first end may be tapered and especially dome shaped. This helps to direct debris towards an outside of the tube, where it is less likely to be drawn into the filter and potentially block it or a downstream component, such as a nozzle. The filter may be attached to a pipeline and a nozzle.

The memory component contains programmed instructions which, when executed by the control element cause the system to randomly dispense a first fluid from a first fluid storage chamber, and randomly disperse a second fluid from a second fluid storage chamber.
Abstract: An extinguishing system for a high-voltage battery of a motor vehicle, including at least one extinguishing agent container with a gaseous extinguishing agent; a seal for sealing the extinguishing agent container, which prevents an outflow of the extinguishing agent into the interior of the high-voltage battery; a control device interacting with the seal device, designed to open the seal upon the incidence of a triggering signal, thus allowing the extinguishing agent to flow into the interior of the high-voltage battery and to displace any air included therein; an auto-ignition mechanism that interacts with the seal, which auto-ignites at a certain auto-ignition temperature and opens the seal.
Abstract: A system and method for shaping and/or directing a spray stream includes electrostatically charging a spray stream by exposing fluid to be sprayed to an electrical field within a fluid sprayer to create an electrostatically charged spray stream, and then creating an electrical field between secondary electrodes externally to the fluid sprayer such that the electrostatically spray stream is shaped and/or redirected as it passes through the electrical field.

The adapter body comprises an upper portion, a lower portion, a radial inlet located in a sidewall of the adapter body between the upper and lower portions, and an adapter bore having a first diameter in fluid communication with the radial inlet. The head attached to the adapter body is attached at the upper portion of the adapter body. The head comprises a cavity in fluid communication with the adapter bore and having a second diameter larger than the first diameter, an adapter outlet located in the upper portion of the adapter body and in fluid communication with the cavity, and a handle extending radially from the head. Abstract: Dispensing devices can include buffers. This obviates the need for continually pumping the device to dispense spray or foam. A buffer can be spring loaded, spring loaded combination, elastomeric or gas, and can be in line or adjacent to a piston chamber. Such sprayers and foamers can be mounted upside down. With a buffer, a piston chamber can deliver a greater amount of liquid per unit time than can be dispensed through the nozzle(s). The fraction of liquid that cannot be dispensed can be sent to the buffer for dispensing after the piston downstroke has completed. Volume of the piston chamber and buffer, pressure response of the buffer, throughput of the nozzle, and the minimum opening pressure of the outlet valve can be arranged to restrict the outlet pressures of liquid droplets exiting the nozzle within a defined range.
