  • Patent number: 10874059
Abstract: A sprinkler system for lawns and landscaping is custom-fitted to each particular lot or area to be irrigated. Each in-ground, pop-up, rotating sprinkler head has a pattern defining plate fitted therein having a central opening made therein, as by laser cutting, solid particle deposition, or the like, the opening being congruent with the area to be watered, as adjusted for any sloped portions of the area. A pattern sampling aperture aligned with spray nozzles of the sprinkler rotates about the opening in the defining plate, feeding an amount of water to each radial line of the area about the sprinkler sufficient to reach from the sprinkler position out to the periphery. A speed control comprising a spring-biased cam and an opposing turbine wheel in the water flow slows spray head rotation at arc portions of longer water throw and speeds rotation where the throw is shorter, thus to obtain substantially uniform water coverage over all parts of the area served by each sprinkler head.

  • Patent number: 10786824
Abstract: The invention relates to a low energy spray gun for spraying thin film materials with a thickness of <40 microns such as high performance, thin viscosity nano-paints, lacquers, varnishes and the like. The spray gun comprises a main body (12) having a fluid inlet (14a) connected to an external fluid source (not shown) and a fluid outlet nozzle (16a). Gas outlets (16b-d) on the main body carry entrained fluid droplets emitted from the fluid outlet (14a) the shape of which are controlled by horn outlets (24) positioned beyond the fluid outlet (14a) and gas outlets (16b-d). First and second gas conduits (20, 22) are connected between a common gas inlet (18) and gas outlets (16b-d) and horn outlets (24) respectively. The cross-sectional area of a portion of the first gas conduit (20) is reduced relative to that of the second gas conduit (22) thus creating a pressure drop and a discernible improvement in fluid atomisation.

  • Patent number: 10758755
Abstract: An electric outlet fire detection and prevention system may comprise a temperature sensor and an electromagnetic interference (EMI) sensor. A processor within the system may monitor the measurements of the temperature and EMI sensors to determine that a fire has developed in an electric outlet box. The processor may then actuate a triggering mechanism in a cartridge containing fire extinguishing material such that the fire extinguishing material is dispersed in the outlet box. The fire extinguishing material may extinguish a developing fire and prevent the fire from spreading further. The processor may also be coupled with a server, which is configured to analyze measurements of the temperature and the EMI sensors and generate a building profile. When the server determines that any measurements deviate from the building profile, the server may instruct the processor to actuate the triggering mechanism and/or notify an electronic device associated with the building.
