  • Patent number: 9414537
Abstract: A bulk media spreader transversal actuator assembly includes a drive converter. A motor is connected to the drive converter. A linear motion shaft is slideably positioned in a shaft housing. The shaft housing is connected to the drive converter and the linear motion shaft is connected to the drive converter such that rotational operation of the motor is converted to a linear motion of the linear motion shaft by the drive converter. A hyperextension prevention device is connected to the linear motion shaft and to a rotatable lever of a bulk media spreader. Rotatable displacement of the lever by extension or retraction of the linear motion shaft acts to change an operating position of a hopper gate through which media in the bulk media spreader is dispensed.

  • Patent number: 9327043
Abstract: A device for delivering a volatile fluid in a continuous manner, over a period of time and without leakage, is disclosed. The device includes a flexible sheet and a semi-rigid sheet that are sealed along their edges to form a closed pocket or reservoir for containing a volatile fluid. The semi-rigid sheet is sealed on a first side to a flexible sheet and sealed on a second side to a vapor permeable membrane. The semi-rigid sheet contains a volatile fluid in the reservoir during storage, preventing contact of the volatile fluid with the vapor permeable membrane before the device is activated. The semi-rigid sheet has a differential score to guide the bounds of an opening that is formed upon activation. Once activated, the vapor permeable membrane provides continuous emission of a volatile fluid from the device.

  • Patent number: 9327151
Abstract: Method and a fire-fighting extinguisher nozzle for providing a spray of fine droplet mist of liquid into a space, room or a cavity, comprises a number of openings in the exterior surface of the nozzle. Openings communicate with a liquid source through at least one small diameter drilled hole in a nozzle material, enabling liquid in the form of a mist to be directed at least partly in lateral direction and/or at least partly in a sector axially out from the nozzle. The nozzle is also being associated with trigger mechanism, initiating the mist creating effect by allowing an extinguishing liquid to be sprayed out the openings of the nozzle when heat or fumes are detected. Some of the drilled holes are configured in such way that a deflecting surface is provided inside the drilled holed in the nozzle material in the vicinity of the outlet, causing formation of the mist spray of crushed liquid consisting of fine, minute droplets just inside the drilled holes.
