  • Patent number: RE48443
Abstract: A system and method of determining a topology of devices in an Ethernet network of a building management system (BMS). The method includes discovering a number and identification of devices within the Ethernet ring. The method further includes, for each device discovered in the Ethernet ring, disabling an Ethernet port of one of the device in the Ethernet ring; broadcasting a ring port request onto the Ethernet ring; receiving a ring port response from each of the devices having received the ring port request; and incrementing a count associated with each device based on receiving a ring port response from the device. The method then repeats the above steps until each device in the Ethernet ring has had an Ethernet port disabled. The method further includes determining the topology of the devices in the Ethernet ring by ordering the devices in the Ethernet ring based on the value of the count associated with each device.

  • Patent number: RE48583
Abstract: When a plurality of X-ray images in a time sequence is stored in an image data storing unit (25), a marker coordinate detecting unit (26a) detects coordinates of a stent marker in each X-ray image, and a motion vector calculating unit (26b) calculates, with coordinates of the stent marker detected in a first frame as reference coordinates, a motion vector of the coordinates of the stent marker detected in each X-ray image of a second and subsequent frames with respect to the reference coordinates. Then, a filter application range determining unit (26c) moves and determines an application range of a smoothing filter in each X-ray image based on the motion vector, and the filtered image generating unit (26d) generates a filtered image by performing a process by the smoothing filter between application ranges determined in a process target image and a reference image.

  • Patent number: RE48699
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for allowing a mobile device user to forward one or more messages which are received on the user's mobile device, to a television or a set top box are described. The user is able to view the forwarded messages on the television and can also reply to such received messages from the television. The methods and apparatus may be implemented using a message forwarding application installed on a user's cell phone and a server responsible for forwarding messages and replies between the user's Internet capable TV or set top box and mobile telephone. To the party sending a message, replies appear to have originated from the user's cell phone making the use of the service transparent to individuals other than the user to which the message is sent. Message received and sent logs are maintained in the user's phone so the message record is complete.

  • Patent number: RE48740
Abstract: A solution for adaptively processing a digital image with reduced color resolution is described herein. A source device pre-processes a video frame with reduce color resolution by remapping luma components and chroma components of the video frame, and encodes the pre-processed video frame. The source device remaps a half of luma components on a scan line of the video frame onto a data channel of a source line to an encoder and remaps the other half of the luma components on the scan line to another data channel of the source line. The source device remaps the corresponding chroma components onto a third data channel of a source line. By using a data channel conventionally configured to transmit chroma components, the solution enables a video codec to adaptively encode a digital image with reduced color resolution without converting the digital image to full color resolution before the encoding.

  • Patent number: RE48848
Abstract: To suitably suppress distribution delay at the time of multi-hop communication or broadcast transfer while including a communication station in a power-saving state. First, STA-A immediately transmits broadcast data to STA-B which is running in an active mode, and subsequentially, executes transmission of a beacon at a TBTT when STA-C operates a receiver, and then transmits the broadcast data to the STA-C. Thus, the broadcast data can be distributed to the STA-B which is running in the active mode with the minimum delay, and on the other hand, the broadcast data is distributed to the STA-C which is running in a sleep mode in a sure manner while generating a delay quantity of only T0.

  • Patent number: RE49119
Abstract: Techniques for electronic signature processes are described. Some embodiments provide an electronic signature service (“ESS”) configured to facilitate the creation, storage, and management of electronic signature documents. In one embodiment, an electronic signature document may be associated with custody transfer rules that facilitate transfers of custody of an electronic signature document from one user or party to another. A custody transfer may results in a transfer of rights or capabilities to operate upon (e.g., modify, view, send, delete) an electronic signature document and/or its associated data. A custody transfer rule may be trigged by the occurrence of a particular event, such as the receipt of an electronic signature.

  • Patent number: RE49126
Abstract: A network monitoring system that summarizes a plurality of data packets of a session into a compact session record for storage and processing. Each session record may be produced in real-time and made available during the session and/or after the termination of the session. Depending on protocols, a network monitoring system extracts different sets of information, removes redundant information from the plurality of data packets, and adds performance information to produce the session record. The network monitoring system may retrieve and process a single session record or multiple session records for the same or different protocols to determine cause of events, resolve issues in a network or evaluate network performance or conditions. The session record enables analysis in the units of session instead of individual packets. Hence, the network monitoring system can analyze events, issues or performance of the network more efficiently and effectively.

  • Patent number: RE49150
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for ordering vertices in an image frame within a data stream, wherein the image frame corresponds to Earth-viewing data. A point of intersection of a primary pair of lines is determined and loaded into computer memory, and interrogated as to a sign of a signed remainder with respect to each of two secondary lines defined by the pairwise ordered sets of vertices. In the case of opposite remainder sign with respect to the two secondary lines, two provisional indices are swapped to obtain a rectified index for each of the four vertices. The process is repeated with respect to the signed remainder of the intersection point of the secondary lines relative to the primary lines. The four vertices are then fit, in accordance with index ordering, into a tiling of the surface of the Earth based on the rectified index of each of the four vertices.

  • Patent number: RE49288
Abstract: A first endpoint generates an acoustic spread spectrum signal including a pilot sequence and a data sequence representing a token synchronized to the pilot sequence, transmits the acoustic spread spectrum signal, and records a transmit time at which the acoustic spread spectrum signal is transmitted. A receive time at which a second endpoint received the acoustic spread spectrum signal transmitted by the first endpoint is received from the second endpoint along with an indication of a second token as recovered from the received acoustic spread spectrum signal by the second endpoint. A separation distance between the first endpoint and the second endpoint is computed based on a time difference between the transmit time and the receive time. The first endpoint is paired with the second endpoint when the token matches the second token and the computed distance is less than a threshold distance.

  • Patent number: RE49605
Abstract: A processing device receives an intraoral image of a first intraoral site and determines an identity of the first intraoral site. The processing device then locks the intraoral image and selects a portion of the intraoral image depicting a portion of the first intraoral site based at least in part on the identity of the first intraoral site. The processing device may then generate a model comprising the first intraoral site based at least in part on the locked intraoral image, wherein the portion of the locked intraoral image is used for a first region of the model, and wherein data from one or more additional intraoral images that also depict the portion of the first intraoral site is not used for the first region of the model.
