Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for reporting Configured Grant (CG) resource usage status are provided. The method includes determining a plurality of Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) occasions within a CG periodicity based on a CG configuration; and transmitting a respective Unused PUSCH Indicator (UPI) in each PUSCH occasion in the plurality of PUSCH occasions that is used by the UE within the CG periodicity, each UPI indicating a set of one or more PUSCH occasions in the plurality of PUSCH occasions that is not used by the UE within the CG periodicity, where a bit length of each UPI is determined based on a total number of the plurality PUSCH occasions within the CG periodicity.

Abstract: A system can receive respective information of a group of networks, wherein the respective information identifies a respective geographical area, a respective amount of bandwidth of the respective network, and whether the amount of bandwidth is to be requested or donated. The system can determine respective first coverage options for respective networks of the group of networks based on the respective information. The system can, after determining the respective first coverage options, receive a request from a network of the group of networks for bandwidth from another network of the group of networks. The system can, based on the request, determine second coverage options for the network based on the respective first coverage options and based on respective amounts of available bandwidth of the group of networks determined after receiving the request. The system can facilitate the network utilizing a second coverage option of the second coverage options.

Abstract: The present invention provides a received signal strength (RSS)-based emergency positioning method and system for locating a target user equipment (UE). The method comprises: broadcasting sidelink signals to request UEs from surroundings to transmit identification signals; identifying a target UE based on the plurality of identification signals; estimating, by the processor, a final RSS distance of the target UE with respect to the locator based on RSS values of received uplink signals; estimating an angle of arrival for the locator; and computing location of the targe UE based on the obtained RSS distance and the obtained angle of arrival. The present invention can locate the target position without the assistance of global positioning system (GPS) and macro base station (MBS), and achieve a better localization performance than the commercial MBS and GPS-based localization approaches.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes apparatuses and techniques of adaptive PLMN management for varying network conditions. In some aspects, a PLMN manager of a user equipment (UE) searches, as part of a registration procedure, a data repository of PLMN information that includes a PLMN blocked from registration for a duration of time and determines that the PLMN is blocked due to a signal-related condition with a cell of the PLMN (e.g., weak signal). The PLMN manager then determines, during the duration of time, that the signal-related condition between the UE and the cell has improved. In response to the improvement, the PLMN manager unblocks the PLMN before expiration of the duration of time. By so doing, the UE may reattempt registration with the unblocked PLMN at least once before the duration of time expires, which may allow the UE to register more quickly and reestablish network services.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE), a base station, and methods of identifying the UE are provided. The method of identifying the UE performed by the UE includes determining, by the UE from the base station, a configuration associated with the UE and performing, by the UE, a random access (RA) procedure using the configuration associated with the UE, wherein a UE type of the UE is identified in the RA procedure by the base station. This can solve issues in the prior art, reach early identification of the UE, realize coverage compensation, provide different schedules for different UE types, provide a good communication performance, and/or provide high reliability.

The method includes receiving, from a User Equipment, UE, wirelessly connected to the network node, a chipset identifier indicating a type of chipset of the UE. The method further includes determining, based on the received chipset identifier, how to handle the UE, and communicating with the UE according to the determination. By receiving an identifier indicating the chipset type the UE is built on, the network node can adapt its handling of the UE depending on the chipset type.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of parameters associated with a temporary bandwidth part (BWP) switch from a first BWP to a second BWP. The parameters may include a time duration for the temporary BWP switching procedure, a network antenna configuration for the second BWP, transmission parameters for communications scheduled in the second BWP, or a combination thereof. The UE may switch from the first BWP to the second BWP in accordance with the temporary BWP switching procedure and communicate with a network entity using the indicated parameters. For example, the UE may receive one or more downlink messages or transmit one or more uplink messages in accordance with the indicated parameters. Thereafter, the UE may switch from the second BWP to a third BWP in accordance with the temporary BWP switching procedure.

A method of communication comprises receiving, at a terminal device and from a network device of a communication network, a configuration comprising a pattern of a gap and a RRC reconfiguration to be applied during the gap for reduction of a capability of the terminal device to communicate with the communication network; and applying the RRC reconfiguration upon a start of the gap. Thereby, the capability of the terminal device can be flexibly coordinated, and thus services at networks of USIMs can be performed in a more flexible and efficient way.
