Abstract: A vehicle control system includes a display device located in a vehicle. The display device displays a plurality of display icons with one of the display icons representing an active display icon. A touchpad is located in the vehicle remote from the display device. The touchpad provides virtual buttons corresponding to the display icons that have relative orientations corresponding to the display icons. The touchpad establishes a home location on the touchpad based on a location where a user of the vehicle touches the touchpad. The home location corresponds to the active display icon such that the virtual button representing the active display icon is located at the home location and the other virtual buttons are oriented about the home location.

Abstract: Provided is a mobile chatting system for allowing cartoon story-type chatting between chatting users of a mobile terminal on which a cartoon-type chatting application is installed and a mobile terminal on which the cartoon-type chatting application is not installed, which includes: a first mobile terminal on which a cartoon-type chatting application is installed; a second mobile terminal for allowing chatting in a cartoon story form through a web page; a chatting server for relaying chatting between the first and second mobile terminals; and a chatting web server for, when a chatting message is input from the second mobile terminal, displaying the message and the user of the second mobile terminal with a cartoon character on the chatting web page.

Embodiments commence upon receiving a set of dimensions then generating a first interactive user interface comprising a series of concentric rings corresponding to the set of dimensions. The concentric rings comprise a series of wedges representing dimension values. A second interactive user interface is displayed, wherein the second interactive user interface comprises at least some of the set of dimensions, and wherein a user interaction upon the first interactive user interface causes a change in the second interactive user interface. Embodiments can include a selector to select a wedge and/or a slice, and the second interactive user interface can be presented as a table. User interaction upon the second interactive user interface is reflected simultaneously on the first user interface and user interaction upon the first user interface is reflected simultaneously on the table.

Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment, a desktop information processing apparatus allowed to be simultaneously used by a plurality of users comprises a plurality of operation display sections and a control section. The plurality of operation display sections, each of which has a display surface on the top plate of the desktop information processing apparatus, detect touch operations of users, respectively. Further, the operation display sections are allocated to each user. The control section conducts a control to display same file data in a pre-defined first display area on all the operation display sections. The control section conducts a control to display, when a user carries out a touching and moving operation on the file data on one of the plurality of operation display sections, the track of the movement on the touched operation display section but not on the other operation display sections.

Abstract: A perspective management system configured for providing a perspective editor through which users in the IT environment can build perspectives. A perspective specifies a set of IT objects representing a portion of the IT environment that a user or a group of users care about. The perspective management system implements a social networking paradigm. As such, each IT object has an activity stream configured for capturing communications, notifications, and knowledge related to the IT object. Perspectives are themselves IT objects. Therefore, each perspective also has an activity stream. The source component, when executed by the processor, parses a selected media container to identify a set of media instances of a first type and constructs a media instance list that comprises the identified set of media instances, wherein the selected media container is inaccessible by an activated media presenter. The target component, when executed by the processor, enables the activated media presenter to present at least two of the set of media instances from the media instance list to a user interface without deactivating between presentations.

The method may also include providing a genealogical display and positioning a first icon in a docking field of the genealogical display. The method may further include displaying on a display device the first icon in the docking field, information about the genealogical record associated with the first icon, and other icons that represent genealogical records linked to the genealogical record represented by the first icon, where the other icons are arranged according to their relationship with the first icon. The method may additionally include replacing the first icon in the docking field with a second icon representing a different genealogical record and updating the icons displayed on the display device without shifting focus from the displayed icons.
