  • Patent number: 7034650
Abstract: A protection mechanism for a switch device includes a pivotably member pivotably connected to an underside of the switch member pivotably connected to an open top of the case of the switch device. The pivotable member includes a shorter tongue and two rods. An end of the bimetallic plate is inserted between the two rods and the tongue so that when the switch member is pressed on one end, the bimetallic plate is lifted to set the switch device to “OFF” position. When the switch member is pressed on the other end, the pivotable member is lowered and the tongue pushes the bimetallic plate to “ON” position. The pivotable member is pivoted an angle and moved toward a space in the case so that the tongue is shifted a distance such that the bimetallic plate is not stopped by the tongue when it is deformed due to overload.

  • Patent number: 7030726
Abstract: A protection mechanism for a switch device includes a pull member that has one end pivotably connected to the switch member and the other end which is a hook end for lifting the bimetallic plate to set the switch device to “OFF” status. A push member is pivotably connected to the pull member and includes a lower end which is movably engaged on an inclined surface of a block extending from an inside of the case of the switch device. The lower end of the push member may push the bimetallic plate to its “ON” status. When the bimetallic plate is deformed in an overload situation, the push member is pivoted away from the bimetallic plate in such a way that the bimetallic plate can be completely deformed.

  • Patent number: 7016187
Abstract: An information handling system lid releases from an associated housing with an actuator that frees the lid and then pushes the lid from a secured position to an unsecured position for ease of removal. The actuator rotationally couples through the housing to translate a user rotation of the actuator to open and then move the lid. On the interior of the housing, the actuator is a cam having a latch push and an inclined surface. The latch push moves a latch to an open position upon initial movement of the actuator and holds the latch in the open position to release a latch catch of the lid and allow movement of the lid. The inclined surface pushes against a lid removal protrusion extending from the lid and moves the lid an increasing distance as the actuator turns to complete release of the lid from the housing by sliding hooks of the lid from slots of the housing.

  • Patent number: 7016191
Abstract: The invention improves reliability relating to the operating environment temperature and the operating time of a processor for management in a disk array device mounting the managing processor for managing the state of the device, and further realizes mounting having no bad influence on the temperature environment within the disk array device. The disk array device uses a dedicated PC for industry in the processor for management, and is constructed such that the processor for management and a computer for output used to output management information of this processor for management are separated. Further, the processor for management and the computer for output are arranged within a disk array box body in positions for preventing no flow of a ventilating wind within the disk array box body. Here, when the computer for output is used, the disk array device is set to a mode in which the computer for output is pulled out of the disk array box body and is further rotated and used.

  • Patent number: 7005957
Abstract: A switch device includes a case with a switch member pivotally engaged with the open top of the case. Two terminals extend from a bottom of the case and a bimetallic plate has a first end fixed to one of the terminals. A distal end of the bimetallic plate is located above the other terminal. A hooking member has one end connected to the switch member and the other end has a hooking portion with which the distal end of the bimetallic plate is engaged. The distal end of the bimetallic plate is lifted when the switch member is pushed to “ON” position. The hook portion is defined between first and second boards and the second board located lower than the first board is shorter so that the bimetallic plate is allowed to be deformed without obstruction when the switch device is overloaded.

  • Patent number: 6940389
Abstract: A circuit breaker includes a bimetallic plate that has a first end fixed to one terminal and a second end which can be lowered to contact the other terminal by pushing the pushbutton on top of the case of the breaker. The second end of the bimetallic plate is movably supported in a slot of a support member that is connected to an end of the pushbutton and is movable along an inclined surface of a protrusion in the case. The slot has a shorter upper edge so that when the support plate is shifted to a side when the pushbutton is set to its close-circuit position, the second end of the bimetallic plate can be deformed upward without any barrier by the upper edge of the slot.
