Abstract: An apparatus having a holster to receive an appliance in slidable engagement, an engagement apparatus to hold the appliance in engagement with the holster, a clip sized and shaped to attach to the article of clothing, and a retainer assembly configured to releasably attach the holster to the clip, the clip having a body with a proximal end, a tongue extending from the proximal end to engage with the article of clothing, and a receiver that receives the projection on the holster, the receiver having a through-opening and structured to position the projection against the tongue as the projection is engaged with the receiver to preload the tongue and apply pressure to the article of clothing in response to positioning the article of clothing between the tongue and the projection and thereby retain the clip in positive engagement with the article of clothing.
Abstract: A protective and/or ornamental case for a foldable handheld electronic device. The case includes a front shell and a back shell pivotally connected to one another by one or more springs or other tension mechanisms. A first portion of an electronic device is inserted into the front shell and a second portion of the electronic device is inserted into the back shell. The tension mechanisms retain the front and back shells operatively engaged with one another as the electronic device housed in the case is pivotally or hingedly opened and closed, help prevent unintended opening or closing of the device, and keep the device open or closed when so positioned by a user.
Abstract: A vehicle cargo retaining apparatus and system having a first enclosure with an outer surface and an inner surface. The first enclosure is capable of containing a fluid within the first enclosure, such as to seal the fluid from an external atmosphere. The apparatus and system may further include a plurality of jamming members within the first enclosure and an opening in the enclosure for receiving or removing fluid. In one state, the plurality of jamming members are moveable relative to one another within the first enclosure when fluid is received via the opening allowing the outer surface of the first enclosure to be deformable. In a second state the plurality of jamming members are restricted from moving relative to one another within the first enclosure when fluid is removed via the opening causing the outer surface of the first enclosure to maintain a semi-rigid or rigid state. A control system may control operation of the system to enable the retaining operations.
Abstract: Holstering retractor devices or systems for securing a device or instrument when not in use, such that the instrument does not have to be held or slid into a pocket. The systems are coupled with a retracting device, integrated into the holster, such that if said instrument or device pops out of holster, or is dropped while in use, it is not lost or damaged. The present invention is also directed to systems utilizing the holster retractors, such as vest system having the holster retractor mounted to the vests.

Abstract: Described herein are holster identification devices for attachment to a holster designed to carry another object, such as a weapon or firearm. The holster identification device can include an area where a user can attach identification such as a badge. The identification can be permanently attached or can be removably attached, such as using hook-and-loop fasteners. The device can be designed to snap-fit onto a holster, such as using two side portions designed to wrap around at least a portion of the holster to provide a snug fit. The frontside of the holster and the backside of the holster identification device can include complementary protrusions/indentations or male/female parts to help ensure a secure connection.
Abstract: A holster includes a hip plate and a shroud mounted to the hip plate. The shroud includes a channel adapted to receive a slide of a firearm, a slide block extending into an open portion of the channel and configured to abut a muzzle end of the slide received in the channel to prevent forward movement of the slide, and a locking lug extending into the open portion of the channel and configured to engage a chamber of the slide to prevent movement of the slide.

Abstract: The present invention is a rifle sling for use with a rifle having butt and barrel portions. The rifle sling comprises a one-piece leather strap comprising a central longitudinal axis, a fixed end portion, and a sliding end portion. The sliding end portion comprises a slit that is parallel to the central longitudinal axis of the strap. The sliding end portion being folded to form first and twisted second loops with the first loop passing thru the second loop to form a sliding knot. The fixed end portion comprises first and second slits parallel to the central longitudinal axis and aligned with each other. The fixed end portion being folded to form a loop that is passed thru the first and second slits to form a fixed knot. Unlike conventional rifle slings, the rifle sling of the present invention does not employ any hardware.
Abstract: A backpack with magnetic back-panel is provided and configured to enable a user to store their valuable and fragile belongings in the backpack and use the magnetic back-panel to securely store the backpack against any metal structure. Through the easily accessible magnetic back panel, the backpack securely connects to most of, if not all, metal surfaces. With this magnetic feature, the backpack can be positioned vertically or horizontally on metal structures to give the user a plethora of options to position at their desired setting. These options provide an environment that reduces the chance of damage and theft to the backpack, while making completely accessible to the user and removing health and injury concerns.

Abstract: A thermally insulating packaging to hold an item includes a solid compostable or recyclable shell that is formed primarily of starch, and a bottom cover. The shell includes a floor, a plurality of inner side walls that are coupled to the floor, a rim coupled to the plurality of inner side walls, and a plurality of outer side walls that are couple to the rim. The floor and the plurality of inner side walls define an interior space of the shell to receive the item and an opening to the interior space. The plurality of inner side walls and plurality of outer side walls have a space therebetween that defines a gap. The gap can be an air-filled cavity, or be filled with a compostable or recyclable core material.
Abstract: A bicycle mount which mounts a bicycle longitudinally over the bed rail of a pickup truck. A carriage of the bicycle mount supports the wheels of the bicycle above it. A pivot arm and hook is used as a primary vertical support for the bicycle, with the pivot arm mounted using slide channels of the carriage to allow both longitudinal and pivoting motion. The hooks is extendable on the pivot arm to support an upper section of the bicycle frame. A mounting system for the carriage is provided allows the carriage to mount into stake pockets of the bed rail, adjustable to accommodate different length bed rails and different stake pocket spacing on different pickup trucks.
Abstract: A quick-disconnect (QD) sling swivel includes a main body receivable in a socket on a firearm, a locking mechanism coupled to the main body, and an actuation mechanism coupled to the locking mechanism and depressible in a direction generally perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the QD sling swivel. When the actuation mechanism is depressed, the locking mechanism is in a first position such that the main body is decouplable from and is freely movable in and out of the socket. When the at least one actuation button is not depressed with a portion of the main body received in the socket, the locking mechanism is in a second position such that the main body is interlockingly received in the socket with the locking mechanism engaged therewith.
Abstract: Backpacks with cooperatively adjusted hip belt segments and compression strap segments. A backpack includes a pack body, a shoulder strap, and a belt assembly. The pack body includes a back panel and an exterior panel. The belt assembly includes a compression strap segment, a hip belt segment, an adjustment strap, and a releasable fastener. The backpack includes a belt assembly waist loop with a belt assembly waist perimeter. Each adjustment strap is configured to selectively adjust each of the pack volume and the belt assembly waist perimeter. The belt assembly is configured such that, responsive to the user applying a tension force to the adjustment strap, each of a pack volume and the belt assembly waist perimeter decreases by a respective degree that depends upon a ratio of the force required to decrease the pack volume to the force required to decrease the belt assembly waist perimeter.

Abstract: A chest support sling for hands free transport with quick release of an elongated firearm or crossbow. In each instance, the sling includes a main strap adapted to being supported upon a shoulder of a wearer. The strap is connected at opposite ends to a pocket which is further adapted to be arranged to a side waist location of the wearer and to receive a butt end of the firearm or crossbow. A secondary support strap extends from the main strap and is adapted for engaging an extended location of the firearm or crossbow to maintain hands-free support when carried by the wearer.
Abstract: A two piece holster support for supporting a handgun holster on a belt includes a first piece that is configured to clamp onto the belt at a clamp location when the belt is threaded through the first piece in a belt direction and pulled tight, thereby to support the first piece on the belt. A second piece is supported on the first piece for sliding movement relative to the first piece in the belt direction between a plurality of positions at varying distances from the clamp location. The second piece has a loop configuration defining a belt passage for engaging the belt at a location spaced apart form the base and thereby supporting the second piece on the belt. The second piece is movable on the first piece in the belt direction whereby the belt passage on the movable piece can be set at a variable distance from the clamp location of the base.
Abstract: A firearm retention mechanism is provided for a holster. The device comprises first and second arms that each have a first end and a second end, outwardly extending retention elements and trigger guard stops, and a fastener which connects the first and second arms so that they define an open top, with the retention elements and trigger guard stops facing one another, the trigger guard stops located below the retention elements. The arms are connected to sides of the holster with the open top facing upwardly to receive a trigger guard of the firearm, which is then pressed between the retention elements.
