Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for catalog digitization. A method including receiving observed information including physical attributes of a plurality of products, assigning an importance to each physical attribute, organizing the products into product categories based on the physical attributes and their corresponding importance, determining a product profile for of the products based on the product category of each of the products and a likelihood of any two attributes being observed together with respect to each of the products, identifying a match between two products based on a similarity between the physical attributes of the two products and their corresponding importance, and a comparison between the product profiles of the two products, preparing a product description based on a combination of the physical attributes of the two matching products, and creating a digital product catalog comprising the product description.

Abstract: A shopping cart system and processes are disclosed which allow replenishment of small parts inventory without part numbers, scanners, bar codes, salesman, writing, written purchase orders, and put away without knowing what your are ordering or putting away as a “remote refill” process for mobile computing devices. In some embodiments, the shopping cart program is implemented as a web page shopping cart. In some embodiments, the shopping cart program is implemented as a coded messaging program comprising one of fax, SMS text messaging, and voice calls.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a merchant-customer engagement system include a physical merchant location in which a customer may be tracked to determine products within the physical merchant location that the customer is interested in. A merchant may use a wearable merchant device that is configured to identify the customer via a camera that captures an image of the customer, and that image may be used to retrieve customer account information for that customer. Using the customer account information and the products that the customer is showing interest in, the wearable merchant device may be used to display merchant-customer engagement information next to a view of the customer to allow the merchant to help the customer while utilizing a variety of displayed information about the customer including, for example, past purchases, products browsed in-store and previously browsed online, time spent in an area of the physical merchant location, etc.

Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating a digital wallet transaction are described herein. A service provider identifies and recommends the most applicable digital wallets for a user based on various factors, such as user location, type and amount of purchase, type of merchant, and/or mood of the user. The service provider may also rank the recommended digital wallets and/or determine how many should be presented to a user. During merchant checkout, the user is presented with the recommended digital wallets, and the user selects one of the digital wallets to fund the purchase.

Abstract: Example systems and methods for recommendation based on geographic location and user activities are described. In one implementation, a method may receive geographic information associated with a user. The method may also retrieve a circumstance parameter associated with the geographic information and identify one or more items based on the graphic information and the circumstance parameter.

Abstract: A system and method that combines content with one or more canvas products to provide finished products for dissemination to end customers is provided. More specifically, a system and method are provided to enable a content provider to select one or more canvas products to which content would be applied, whereby the content provider may then provide web links on any of a multitude of locations to redirect an end customer to a canvas product center and/or fulfillment center to acquire finished products having content thereon. The finished product is customizable for and by any one or more content providers for a unique appearance and offering to end customers. Content providers are able to leverage the infrastructure, network and benefits of a third party while enjoying the ease of setup, minimal up-front costs and eliminate the need to invest in or carry an inventory of finished products.

Abstract: A social networking system provides verification of gift orders placed for restricted gifts. The restricted gift is subject to limitations on the giving and receiving of the gift, such as minimum age thresholds. A user purchasing the gift is directed from a social network to a landing page of a gifting system. At the landing page, the user provides login credentials to verify the user's identity within the purchase flow and prior to gift purchase. The social networking system verifies whether the login credentials match the user and determines whether the user may be permitted to purchase the restricted gift by comparing limitations of the restricted gift with profile information of the verified user. An order for the gift is provided to a gift delivery location where the recipient can receive the gift.

Abstract: A portable electronic device for presenting a recommendation message is described. The device includes display; one or more processors; and memory storing one or more programs for execution by the one or more processors. The device detects a trigger event based on a user input, the trigger event initiating a receipt of non-tactile user input; and, in response to detecting the trigger event, receives non-tactile user input. The device generates one or more character strings based on the non-tactile user input and one or more predefined string generation rules. Each character string of the one or more character strings includes multiple characters. The device generates a recommendation message that includes the one or more character strings; and displays the recommendation message on the display. A corresponding method and a computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs for execution by the portable electronic device are also described.
