A cover is provided for venting purposes to reduce the backflow siphoning forces or pressure, which causes the backflow of a product chemistry. The pump is operable to pump the LP gas from the vehicle fuel tank via the inlet port to the storage tank via the outlet port. The pump is a pneumatically driven displacement pump that can effectively pump both liquid phase LP gas and gas phase LP gas. The pump has seals formed from a material substantially resistant to degradation by contact with the LP gas. The LP gas evacuation system further includes a pneumatic pressure regulator configured to receive a supply of compressed air and to provide compressed air at a desired pressure to the pump.
