Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for setting a reference picture index of a temporal merging candidate. An inter-picture prediction method using a temporal merging candidate can include the steps of: determining a reference picture index for a current block; and inducing a temporal merging candidate block of the current block and calculating a temporal merging candidate from the temporal merging candidate block, wherein the reference picture index of the temporal merging candidate can be calculated regardless of whether a block other than the current block is decoded. Accordingly, a video processing speed can be increased and video processing complexity can be reduced.

Abstract: A storage medium, computer program product, data server, imaging device, telemedicine system and method are for providing at least one image dataset. In an embodiment, the method includes processing at least one raw image dataset, acquired from a patient by an imaging device of a mobile unit, to create a processed image dataset; generating a reduced image dataset by reducing an amount of data of the processed image dataset; and storing at least one of the at least one raw image dataset, the processed image dataset and the reduced image dataset on a data server, the data server being part of the mobile unit and being connected to a network.

The motor housing includes a side opening through which a fastener is radially fastened into the fastening receptable to secure the bearing bridge to the motor housing.

Abstract: A circuit is operative to extract electromagnetic wave energy from the ground via a resonant transformer in which resonance is triggered by electrical charge arcing across a spark gap. A center tap of the primary winding of the transformer is capacitively coupled to an electrode buried in the ground. In-rush current from the ground electrode is converted to a useful form (e.g., one- or three-phase 60 Hz AC) by a power conversion circuit connected to the secondary winding of the resonant transformer. The ground electrode of the capacitor coupling the grounded electrode to the center tap primary winding is the shield of a Faraday cage enclosing the resonant transformer, spark gap, and a high-voltage power supply exciting the spark gap.

The method comprises: entropy decoding a first portion of a video bitstream, wherein first portion of video bitstream is associated with a video frame, thereby producing a first portion of decoded data; entropy decoding a second portion of video bitstream, wherein second portion of video bitstream is associated with video frame, thereby producing a second portion of decoded data, wherein entropy decoding second portion of video bitstream is independent of entropy decoding first portion of video bitstream; and reconstructing a first portion of video frame associated with video bitstream using first portion of decoded data and second portion of decoded data.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for improving the quality of subsequent searches. A request is received from a user to perform a search using the term(s) provided by the user. A search is then performed using the provided term(s). A representation of the search result is depicted as an area (e.g., bubble) with terms of interest displayed outside the area. The area represents a set of documents that were found in the performed search and the terms of interest represent terms that may be of interest to the user based on this set of documents. These terms of interest may be selected by the user to adjust the search result. In this manner, the user is presented with an intuitive view as to how different terms or different searches will have an impact on the search results thereby improving the quality of subsequent searches.

In an embodiment, the apparatus comprises: a receiver for receiving a bitstream, and a splitter for identifying a packet type in the bitstream and splitting, based on the identification of a value of the packet type in the bit stream into a main stream and an auxiliary stream.

A pressurizing element may maintain around a 0.01-inch water column or more negative pressure airflow into the bowl and out of the vent. The suctioned air can be communicated outside a space having the toilet and waste to prevent any inhabitant or user from interacting with the same. Suction may be taken at any point and at any level, including shutting off or increasing suction at desired times or in response to detected use. A moveable lid and/or seat to the toilet may close the same by rotation and carry a portion of the suctioned exhaust. Systems are useable with existing plumbing and ventilation systems.

Abstract: An improved query system in which registered sex offender information published in state and territory databases is obtained using an improved data scraper, merged, cleaned, and/or enriched to remove inaccuracies is described herein. Users can then perform a single search or multiple searches simultaneously (e.g., perform batch searches) and view the results in a single content page. The improved query system can use the merged and/or cleaned data to generate a more limited set of search results, reducing the amount of mismatched or inaccurate information that a user may have to navigate through. Thus, users can perform one or more searches and view accurate search results without having to navigate through many different windows or content pages or perform additional navigational steps to identify relevant information.

Abstract: A mechanism is provided to orchestrates entitled execution of a set of analytics. The mechanism retrieves an analytic entry from an immutable data record source and identifies an analytic associated with the analytic entry, and an associated dataset. The analytic and the dataset are encrypted using an owner's key. The mechanism decrypts the analytic using a decryption key and executes the analytic based on the decrypting.
