Abstract: A call transfer system is disclosed which comprises: an information processing system accommodating a plurality of terminals each having input means; and a telephone exchanging system accommodating a plurality of telephones preliminarily interrelated to the respective terminals; the information processing system monitoring an input operation performed by the input means of each of the terminals, and transmitting information indicative of the input operation to the telephone exchanging system; the telephone exchanging system controlling a call transfer operation, based on the information on the input operation transmitted from the information processing system, to transfer a call received by a telephone to a predetermined transfer destination if no input operation is performed at a terminal corresponding to the telephone, and not to transfer the call if an input operation is performed at the terminal.
Abstract: A system detects unauthorized use of an identifier in a communication system which includes at least one terminal coupled to a communication center via a communication network. The system includes a first part provided in the communication center for managing a password and a previous caller telephone number in correspondence with each identifier, and a second part provided in the communication center for sending a warning message to the terminal if an access identifier and an access password input from the terminal from which an access request is made respectively match one of the identifiers and a corresponding password managed by the first means but a present caller telephone number from which the access request is made is different from the previous caller telephone number.
Abstract: A telephonic switching system (11) with a switch (10) controlled by a central processing unit (12) to interconnect interior communication units (14) and exterior telephonic units (16) in accordance with data in a shared data memory (18) with data that is alterable in response to signals generated by the communication units. A data memory access system (23) periodically shifts access to the data memory (18) from one special process to another successive special process in a process memory (20). The data memory access system (23) prevents the normal periodic shifting of access to the data memory (18) during a period when the special process with access is enabled to access and alter shared data.
Abstract: A Call Message Delivery System (CDS) in response to a request from a caller to deliver an international voice call message, uses the country code digits of the called station number to select the language to be used in the system announcement which precedes the delivery of the caller's message to the called station. Another feature enables the caller to select a system announcement to be delivered with the call message. An additional feature enables the caller to record his or her own announcement as the system announcement.
