  • Patent number: 10812614
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses may provide for the intermediated retrieval of applications on a network. A computing device may be configured to receive an application from an application server on a network. Based on, for example, the network conditions between the computing device and the application server, the computing device may query a plurality of intermediary servers. Based on a decision that, for example, the network conditions between the computing device, application server, and a selected intermediary server are better than the network conditions between the computing device and the application server, the computing device may cause the application to be retrieved by a host application of the selected intermediary server. The host application may process and transmit the application to the computing device. The computing device may display the processed application and transmit user input corresponding to the processed application to the intermediary server.

  • Patent number: 10805681
Abstract: Unknown potential commercials are detected in a video data stream that contains segments of program type content, and blocks of commercial content. Each block includes a plurality of successive individual commercials. A library of known commercials is maintained in a first database. A video data stream is received in a video processing engine which includes a search engine that is in communication with the first database. The search engine identifies all known commercials in the video data stream and their respective start and end times. The video processing engine identifies all time segments that are sandwiched between the known commercials. The video processing engine filters out as a potential commercial any identified time segments that are significantly longer than the time length of a commercial. The video processing engine designates content of each of the time segments that were not filtered out as being one or more unknown potential commercials.

  • Patent number: 10769762
Abstract: A camera device for a motor vehicle includes an image sensor to provide a raw image (R) of an environment of the camera device. Additionally, an image processing device generates an output image (I) from the raw image (R) by means of a spreading function of a histogram spreading. The spreading function generates from a respective input pixel value (Li) of each pixel of the raw image (R) each one output pixel value (Lo) of a corresponding pixel of the output image (I). Furthermore, the histogram spreading may be adapted to the capturing situation. At least one parameter value (S, G) of the camera device depending on a brightness (B1, B2) of the environment is acquired and a limit value (L) for the output pixel values (Lo) is set in the spreading function depending on the at least one acquired parameter value (S, G).

  • Patent number: 10771335
Abstract: A network device stores capability designations associated with Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices and receives, from a customer device, one or more of the capability designations associated with a first type of IoT device. The network device receives event data generated by the first type of IoT device and maps the event data to the one or more of the capability designations. The mapping produces normalized IoT data for the first type of IoT device. The network device generates semantic information for the normalized IoT data and assembles a device model for the first type of IoT device. The device model includes the one or more of the capability designations and the semantic information.

  • Patent number: 10749665
Abstract: In aspects of high-precision rational number arithmetic in homomorphic encryption, a computing device stores homomorphic encrypted data as a dataset, and implements an encryption application that can encode integers into plaintext polynomials, where the integers are representative of initial data received for encryption. The encryption application can encrypt the plaintext polynomials into ciphertexts of the homomorphic encrypted data, and perform homomorphic operations as rational number arithmetic on the ciphertexts, generating updated ciphertexts while the homomorphic encrypted data remains encrypted. The encryption application can then decrypt the updated ciphertexts to modified plaintext polynomials that can be resolved back to the plaintext polynomials effective to recover the integers that represent the initial data. The encryption application can also decode the modified plaintext polynomials back to the integers effective to recover the initial data in an unencrypted form.
