  • Patent number: 5646743
Abstract: A program filing method for a video tape recorder is disclosed. The tape is formatted into a number of regions so that the tape is arranged into a filing form, and thus, recording and reproduction is faster and more convenient by utilizing a VISS function. When a vacant tape is inserted, the total length of the tape is divided into a number of regions based on the desired formatting number, and VISS signals are recorded on each of the regions for several seconds, so that recording and reproduction can be carried out by selecting the formatted region number, thus making it possible to carry out recording or reproduction on the desired regions.

  • Patent number: 5442034
Abstract: Spray polyurea elastomers are disclosed made from an (A) component and a (B) component, where the (A) component has a quasi-prepolymer made from an isocyanate and an active hydrogen-containing material, such as a polyoxyalkylenepolyamine. The (B) component includes an amine resin, such as an amine-terminated polyoxyalkylene polyol which may be the same or different from the polyoxyalkylene polyamine of the quasi-prepolymer. The viscosity of the (A) component is reduced by the inclusion of an organic, alkylene carbonate, such as ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate, butylene carbonate, dimethyl carbonate, and the like. The alkylene carbonate also serves as a compatibilizer between between the two components, thus giving an improved mix of the system.

  • Patent number: 5370975
Abstract: A phase shift mask having a phase shifter with an edge angle ranging from 70.degree. to 85.degree. or 95.degree. to 110.degree. is used as a reticle in forming a resist pattern so that the exposure pattern applied to the resist has a light intensity distribution with constant light intensity contrast. A fine resist pattern having a predetermined width no more than the wavelength of the light used to form the pattern is produced precisely and reproducibly under constant developing conditions. In addition, there is provided on the side wall of the phase shifter of the phase shift mask a light shielding film which, due to its width, cannot be resolved as an exposure pattern itself. A region in which the light intensity is reduced from the constant level corresponding to the width of the light shielding film in the exposure pattern is formed by the projection lens.

  • Patent number: 5367024
Abstract: A light weight resinous plastic co-polymer comprised of styrene and acryltrile is ground to various sizes, especially 20 mesh and 40 mesh, and is used as an anti-slip grit, as a texturizer, and/or as a filler in coatings and plastic resins. The co-polymer, having a specific gravity of around 1.08 (water=1.0), is dispersed in or broadcast upon a liquid resin or resin system. The co-polymer disperses clear and stays suspended without adjustment or with minor adjustments to the colloidal matrix of the system.

  • Patent number: 5177171
Abstract: A sulfonic acid group-containing polyurethane produced from a sulfonic acid group-containing polyamide diol and/or a sulfonic acid group containing polyester diol, a dihydroxyhydrocarbon having a specific molecular weight and a diisocyanate. This polyurethane has not only high hydrophilicity but also excellent mechanical strength, excellent heat resistance, low permanent tensile set and low hardness, which are required for the base polymer for a photosensitive resin composition to be used for producing a flexographic printing plate. Further, a photosensitive resin composition containing such a sulfonic acid group-containing polyurethane has excellent photosensitivity and in addition, has excellent properties such that after the photosensitive resin composition has been exposed to actinic rays through an image-bearing transparency, the development of the exposed composition can be performed with water or an aqueous alkali solution.
