  • Patent number: 9606824
Abstract: In a distributed computing environment that includes which each execute a VMM, where each VMM supports execution of one or more VMs, administering the VMs may include: assigning, by a VMM manager, the VMMs of the distributed computing environment to a logical tree topology, including assigning one of the VMMs as a root VMM of the tree topology; and executing, amongst the VMMs of the tree topology, a gather operation, including: sending, by the root VMM, to other VMMs in the tree topology, a request to retrieve one or more VMs supported by the other VMMs; pausing, by the other VMMs, each VM requested to be retrieved; and providing, by the other VMMs to the root VMM, the VMs requested to be retrieved.

  • Patent number: 9584588
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for determining weights for selecting requests from a plurality of tenant queues in a multi-tenant system receiving measured response time and measured throughput for each tenant in a set of tenants being considered in a current period, for each tenant in the set of tenants, determining a weight based on respective measured response times and respective measured throughput, the weight being determined based on one of a previous weight, an initialized weight, a modified proportional and integral (PI) control, and a volunteer weight increase, providing a set of weights that includes weight for each tenant in the set of tenants, and transmitting the set of weights to an access mechanism, the access mechanism selecting tenant requests for processing by a shared resource.

  • Patent number: 9544260
Abstract: A rapid assignment dynamic ownership queue for text message sessions queues incoming text messages destined for a service bureau, at a network server. Simultaneous access is provided to any one text message of the queued incoming text messages to a plurality of operator terminals at the service bureau. Initial ownership of the one text message is assigned as a result of a first acting terminal of the plurality of operator terminals having completed an action in service to the text message, and ownership is re-assigned to a subsequent operator terminal having completed another action in service to the text message after the first acting terminal. A configurable escalation queue may be implemented to assign an escalation code to each queued item, regardless of its position in the queue list, to alter the presentation of the queue item.

  • Patent number: 9516514
Abstract: The present disclosure provides in some aspects a method for positioning by a positioning access point, and an apparatus, system and access point for the same. A positioning system includes an AP including a positioning AP for delivering a positioning WLAN signal containing a dedicated positioning information and a telecom AP for delivering a telecom WLAN signal; database for storing an identification information of the access point and a location information belonging to the AP and matching the identification information; terminal for communicating with the AP; and WLAN-based positioning server responsive to a positioning request from the terminal for comparing a parameter of a WLAN signal received from the terminal with an identification information of the positioning AP on a priority basis, and when there is a match of information, granting the location information of the relevant access point the highest priority to determine the location of the terminal.

  • Patent number: 9503387
Abstract: Example embodiments disclosed herein can provide for receiving a compute request for migrating an application from a source environment to a target cloud, determining a configured option of a first resource associated with the application, and determining at least one solution in the target cloud for the application. The solution is based, at least in part, on the configured option. In more specific embodiments, when the configured option indicates the first resource is splittable, a number of second instances of a solution in the target cloud is greater than a number of first instances in the source environment. In further more specific embodiments, when the configured option indicates the first resource is mergeable, a number of second instances of a solution in the target cloud is less than the number of first instances in the source environment.

  • Patent number: 9501541
Abstract: A method for POD provisioning and service provisioning is disclosed. The method may comprise storing, by a cloud infrastructure system, subscription order information from a customer identifying a service from a set of cloud services provided by the cloud infrastructure system, the cloud infrastructure system comprising one or more computing devices, wherein the subscription order information includes customer-specific configuration. Additionally, the method may comprise determining, by a computing device from the one or more computing devices, a service associated with the subscription order information. Moreover, the method may comprise mapping a pre-provisioned anonymous deployment to the subscription order information, wherein the pre-provisioned anonymous deployment is specifically pre-provisioned for the determined service.

  • Patent number: 9491228
Abstract: A computing unit computes a computed value for input data. A comparing unit compares the computed value of the computing unit with a computed value of another node which is included in an input/output set. An output unit outputs the computed value as output data of a node itself when the result of the comparison by the comparing unit shows that the computed value matches either one of computed values. When the computed value does not match any one of the computed values of other nodes, a transferring unit adds the computed value of the node itself to the input/output set, and transfers the input/output set to another node.

  • Patent number: 9367682
Abstract: A computer-implemented method manages data content, the data content including static data and dynamic data. The content management method includes analyzing the data content by a server to identify the static data and the dynamic data within the data content, wherein the dynamic data is included within a content block, and extracting the dynamic data in the content block from the data content, and replacing the content block with a special identifier. The content management method further includes hosting, by the server, the data content with the static content and the special identifier from a primary website in a primary domain, and the dynamic data in a secondary website in a secondary domain, wherein the special identifier identifies a location of the dynamic data.
