Abstract: For displaying an off-switch location, a processor displays a rack image of a physical rack of a plurality of monitored devices separate from the processor. The processor displays an icon configured to convey a status of each monitored device of the plurality of monitored devices. The processor monitors a position of a mouse. The processor identifies a given monitored device at the position of the mouse and configuration data associated with the given monitored device. The configuration data defines an area of the rack view associated with the given monitored device. In response to identifying the given monitored device, the processor displays a locate off hyperlink for the given monitored device. In response to a selection of the locate off hyperlink, the processor displays an off-switch location on the rack image of the given monitored device.

Abstract: Aspects include methods, systems, and computer programs to tag collaborative content to facilitate mining key content as a runbook. The method includes providing a user interface allowing a user to annotate portions of content in a collaborative effort system, the content comprising one or more log elements and responsive to a user utilizing the user interface and selecting a log element in the content, tagging the selected log element with an annotation. The tagged log elements may be used to generate a runbook.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for displaying multiple aircraft states of an aircraft build process. A method includes storing, in a computer storage device, visual depictions of the multiple aircraft states that are layered over one another. The multiple build states of an aircraft represent different operational states of the aircraft over time. A user interface is configurable to display aircraft build states that occur during an aircraft build process based upon retrieval of the particular build phase from the computer storage device.

Abstract: A central monitoring and measurement system is described. A central user interface system for generation of a plurality of user-desired information based upon a plurality of measured data, the central user interface system may include a receiver system configured to receive wirelessly the plurality of measured data from a plurality of external sensor systems. An input/output system may be configured to provide output data to a display screen, receive input data from the display device, and provide output data to a processing system. The processing system may be configured to process the plurality of measured data from the plurality of external sensor systems into the plurality of user-desired information. Each external sensor system may include a transmission system configured to transmit wirelessly measured data to the central user interface system, and a measurement system configured to determine the measured data associated with an external device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for configuring a security topology in an enterprise security management configuration tool are disclosed. One method includes manipulating an icon representing one or more nodes in a configuration user interface of an enterprise security management configuration tool to associate the one or more nodes into a manual grouping of nodes in an enterprise network; and, after manipulating the icon, selecting, from a tool palette of the configuration user interface, an automatic association tool, the automatic association tool determining an association among a plurality of nodes into a plurality of automated logical groupings of nodes. In some cases, the manual grouping of nodes is different from the plurality of automated logical groupings, and the automatic association tool preserves the manual grouping of nodes.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a cover feed interaction history from a device associated with a user of a social-networking system. An order for a plurality of content boards may be determined based on the cover feed interaction history (e.g., viewing history, download status, the current order of content boards in the cover feed, user interaction history, whether the user bookmarked or pinned a particular content board), user information related to the user, and device information about device-based events and device status. Finally, the order for the content boards may be sent to the device. The determination of the order for the content boards may be based on the cover feed interaction history, recency of content included in the content boards, popularity of the content, relevance of content to the user, or device-based events.

Abstract: An electronic device outputs a first caption of a plurality of captions while a first segment of a video is being played, where the first video segment corresponds to the first caption. While outputting the first caption, the device receives a first user input. In response to receiving the first user input, the device determines a second caption in the plurality of captions, distinct from the first caption, that meets predefined caption selection criteria; determines a second segment of the video that corresponds to the second caption; sends instructions to change from playing the first segment of the video to playing the second segment of the video; and outputs the second caption.

Abstract: The present invention provides a search capability to allow a user to easily locate a preference control, file, folder, control, or other system resource or data item associated with a search result. In one embodiment, a user enters a search term (or a portion thereof) in a search field associated with one or more resource types that may be searched. The user may be presented with a pop-up menu containing a list of likely matches. The user selects the desired preference control from the pop-up menu, and the corresponding preference pane, or other container, containing the selected data item, control, or other resource is displayed. In one aspect, as the user enters the search term (or portion thereof), certain icons are highlighted. Specifically, those icons that represent containers containing matching data items (such as preference panes having controls that match the search term) are highlighted.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes determining a power consumption profile for each of multiple devices, where the power consumption profile includes information regarding a typical rate of power consumption by the corresponding device, and receiving status information for a first device of the multiple devices, where the status information includes power status and network connectivity status. The method also includes determining a schedule for sending push events to the first device using a resource-control algorithm, where the determining is based at least in part on a comparison of the power consumption profile for the first device with the power consumption profiles for one or more second devices and the status information for the first device. The method further includes sending the scheduled push events to the first device, where the push events provision content to the first device.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a computer implemented method for executing application code to connect with a social networking website, the method including analyzing information from at least a user that is in conversation. At least a word is filtered from the analyzed information. A tag is generated from the filtered word. The tag is connected with at least a media file, and a link is added to the media file and the tag to the display of the conversation in the social networking website.

Abstract: Technology is proposed to enable navigating a holographic image. A moving object, such as a hand, is tracked and a gesture is recognized. In response to recognizing the gesture, a virtual shape is created at the location of the recognized gesture. The shape has at least one dimension. The holographic image is moved based on current position of the moving object with respect to the virtual shape.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for automatically synchronizing a visual presentation with a live presenter. Visual presentation slides are preprocessed to determine one or more topics for each slide. A topic index contains one or more topics corresponding to slides of the presentation. As a presenter provides a verbal presentation for corresponding slides, natural language processing analyzes the verbal presentation and creates one or more temporal verbal topic categories. The temporal verbal topic categories are used to search the topic index to find one or more slides that best match the current temporal verbal topic categories. In this way, the slides can automatically follow the discussion of the presenter, enabling improved presentations that can enhance the user experience, increase audience engagement, and improve the dissemination of information.

Abstract: A method of creating content adapted multimedia guidance for a web document, comprising: analyzing location and type of dynamic components in a web document for the creation of a flow dataset, that maps at least one trigger node representing a user initiated trigger event and at least one action node linked to the trigger node and representing instruction to present guidance related to one of the dynamic components in response to the user initiated trigger event; identifying a loading event during which the web document is loaded on a client terminal of a user; extracting at least one generated value from the dynamic components; building an audio sequence associated with the action node by selecting audio segments according to the generated value and arranging the audio segments according to the flow dataset; and when the trigger is activated, playing the audio sequence on the client terminal.

Abstract: A display control device includes a display, a touch panel, and a display controller. The display displays one or more items of list information. The touch panel is attached to the display. The display controller controls the display based on an operation performed on the touch panel. The display controller determines whether or not a swipe operation has been detected. The swipe operation is a swipe that is performed on the touch panel when the display displays at least one item of list information. Upon determining that the swipe operation has been detected, the display controller controls the display to change a size of a display area of the at least one item of list information being displayed by the display and change the number of items of list information being displayed by the display.

Abstract: A novel method for scrolling an electronic document (e.g., a webpage, article, etc.) that is displayed in a display area on a screen is provided. The method receives a swipe gesture on a touch-sensitive input surface, which can be a touch-sensitive surface of a cursor controller (e.g., trackpad, etc.) or can be a touch-sensitive surface of the screen. Based on the swipe gesture's velocity, the method scrolls the document on the display screen and identifies a first location on the document for ending the scrolling. Also, based on this velocity, the method identifies a size for a neighboring region around the identified location. The method then determines whether a scroll stoppage marker is defined for the neighboring region. Each scroll stoppage marker specifies a location within the document for stopping the document's scrolling.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and/or devices for executing functions in a text field are described. In some embodiments, a method may comprise displaying a field in an application running on a client device and accepting entry of text containing a predefined combination of characters followed by a keyword into the field, where the keyword corresponds to a function to be performed. A user-interface element based on the text is displayed and requests user input regarding the function. The user input is received and the function is performed in accordance with the input.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein to provide a user-interface to visualize and control a beam request panel for requesting allocation of usage of a shared therapy beam. The user interface allows a user to visualize a beam request queue, to request the shared therapy beam for treatment, to estimate when a beam request will be fulfilled, and to cancel a beam request if needed.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a document viewing application with first and second document channel browsing modes. The first mode displays selectable items corresponding to document channels. Selection of an item causes the application to add the corresponding document channel to a set of selected document channels from which to retrieve documents for presentation within the application and dynamically add items corresponding to document channels related to the selected document channel to the selectable items for display in the first mode. The second mode displays a first set of selectable items corresponding to sources of documents and a second set of selectable items corresponding to document topics. Selection of an item in the second browsing mode causes the application to add the corresponding document channel to the set of selected document channels and modify the selectable items presented in the second mode a next time the second mode is entered.
