Abstract: A rack and pinion storage system for use in a refrigerator compartment defined by a liner includes a pair of supports attached to opposing sidewalls of the liner. First and second gear covers snap-fittingly connect first and second gear wheels to respective first and second mounting brackets extending from a storage basket, such that the gear wheels are rotatably connected to the storage basket and have equal rotational and linear motion along the respective supports. Retaining bars extending from the storage basket are held within channels defined between the bottom walls of the supports and top walls of opposing telescoping slide assemblies used to movably support a door of the compartment. Tabs extending from the supports limit the sliding movement of the storage basket. A removable divider connects to the storage basket, sectioning the basket into multiple storage compartments.

Abstract: An improved table design, providing a simple, multiple terraced, multiple configuration, and fully collapsible display by means of simple mechanical adjustments to the table. The entire surface of the table is comprised of tabletops nested within tabletops, forming a contiguous unified horizontal tabletop surface. A means is provided for lifting each nested tabletop to a higher elevation, thus creating a terrace above the surface of the respective surrounding tabletop. Said means of lifting said nested tabletops having minimal downward protrusion from the horizontal plane of the bottom of the primary tabletop, whereby said table can be manufactured as a fully portable table if desired. Combinations of said nested tabletops and elevated tabletops at variable heights allow the user to create a multitude of possible configurations. An optional magnetically attractive material on, in, or near the vertical edge of each tabletop facilitates easy decoration of the table with magnetic items.

Abstract: A drawer assembly including a drawer and a sliding guide rail system for slidably opening and closing the drawer within an article of furniture is provided. A support bracket for supporting the drawer is provided at each side of the drawer. The sliding guide rail system includes a pull-out rail disposed within each of the support brackets. One of the support brackets has a slot and the pull-out rail disposed within one of the brackets has a recess. A stabilizer arrangement for stabilizing the sliding movement of the drawer is also provided. The stabilizer arrangement includes a guide bracket and a lever. The guide bracket has a protrusion engageable within the support bracket slot. The guide bracket has a resilient grip portion that allows for the guide bracket protrusion to be adjustable laterally within the support bracket slot when the guide bracket is locked onto the support bracket.

Abstract: A food storage device for storing a food product, a shelf positioned at least partially within the housing, and a coupling assembly coupling the shelf to the housing and adjustable (e.g., infinitely) to position the shelf in one of a plurality of different angles relative to the housing. Preferably, the housing comprises a frame creating a surface coupled to the coupling assembly, and a translucent panel coupled to the frame to facilitate viewing food product positioned in the housing. In one embodiment, the coupling assembly comprises a magnetic assembly including a magnet secured to the shelf and magnetically coupled to the housing. Preferably, the magnetic assembly further comprises a magnet holder secured to the shelf, wherein the magnet is secured to the holder. In this embodiment, the magnet can be secured to the magnet holder by an intermediate material (e.g., plastic) positioned between the magnet and the magnet holder.

Abstract: A display unit installing structure for a refrigerator includes an accommodating unit which is formed by depressing a portion on a front surface of a door and in which a display unit for displaying a variety of information thereon and inputting operating signals are retractably installed; a link mechanism for guiding accommodation and withdrawal of the display unit and tiltably supporting the display unit withdrawn from the accommodating unit at a predetermined angle; and a locking arrangement for preventing the display unit from being inadvertently escaping from the accommodating unit. The display unit can be retractably installed on the front surface of the refrigerator door.

Abstract: A desk unit assembly deployable from a closed position to an open position. The desk unit assembly has a desk portion and a chair assembly. The desk portion has a top, two opposed and vertically extending sidewalls, a rear wall and a front wall, the top, sidewalls, front and rear walls define a chamber therebetween. A chair assembly has a seat and a backrest, the seat is disposed within the chamber and the backrest forms a portion of the front wall of the desk portion when the desk unit assembly is in the closed position. The assembly has a generally cubical shape with substantially flat outer surfaces of the two sidewalls, the front wall and the rear wall when in the closed position and when the assembly is in the open position the chamber can accommodate the legs of a user.

Abstract: An apparatus for supporting upon an underlying surface has an adjustable backing plate structure. The backing plate structure has a main backing plate, first and second connecting racks extending from respectively opposite sides of the main backing plate, and a supporting member connected to the first and second connecting racks. The support member is in the form of a roller and is movable between a first position extending in parallel spaced relation to an end of the main backing plate and a second position contacting a bottom surface of the main backing plate. Each of the first and second connecting racks has a locating end received in a slot of the main backing plate so as to be adjustably slidable therein.

Abstract: A dishwasher is provided, comprising a door pivotably engaged with a body and a counterbalance assembly coupled therebetween for facilitating pivoting of the door. The counterbalance assembly includes a first and second biasing member, each coupled to the body and serially engaged with a respective first and second flexible element coupled to the door. A guide member is secured to the body and includes a fixed arcuate member defining a first guide track, and a pulley rotatable about an axis and defining a second guide track. The first flexible element is at least partially wrapped about each of the fixed arcuate member and the pulley so as to serially engage the first and second guide tracks. The second flexible element is at least partially wrapped about a second side of the fixed arcuate member so as to engage the first guide track. An associated apparatus and method are also provided.

Abstract: An apparatus for displaying and dispensing merchandise in the form of packages arranged serially along a path of travel leading to a dispensing location at a point-of-purchase is selectively adjustable to accommodate packages of different dimensions. A pusher track assembly and dividers, each having a near end and a far end, readily are placed at selected relative locations along a display shelf and are secured in place adjacent the near ends to guide and move the packages along the path of travel to the dispensing location. Stabilizing arrangements located adjacent the near ends stabilize and maintain the pusher track assembly and the dividers in alignment with the path of travel without the necessity for securing the far ends independent of the near end securement in order to maintain the desired alignment of the pusher track assembly and the dividers.

In a preferred embodiment, the invention is a structure that incorporates a rotational diamond-shaped bracing system. Abstract: A locker that may either be opened in a keyed or keyless manner includes a locking mechanism formed predominantly of sheet components. The locking mechanism is designed to be carried by the frame of the locker, and is particularly suited to enable the locker to be used as an evidence locker or similar restricted access storage compartment. Various spring biases are used to force the locking mechanism to a locked position when the locking mechanism is appropriately triggered, such as by a pushbutton. The locking mechanism is designed to be substantially tamper proof and cannot be reset to an unlocked position without a key, if equipped, or access to a lock resetting lever arm that is only accessible through a rear opening of the locker.

Abstract: A load balancing method and incorporated assembly is provided for a computer frame having side walls. The assembly comprises a mid-plane plate having top and bottom sides and capable of being secured to the frames inside side walls. The mid-plane plate also has means both on its top and bottom sides for securing a number of electronic books in such a manner that they can be stacked on top of or adjacent to one another. A locking mechanism can also be provided as part of the assembly or alone to further secure the electronic books to the frame.

Abstract: A display system for product stored in bins includes a first track member which can be fixed to an elongate support member, and a second track member which can be fixed to the first track member in a selected one of a plurality of relative positions to form a track having a height dimension which is dependent on the relative position selected. A plurality of product holders can be secured side-by-side in the track, the relative position of the track members being selected dependent on the height dimension of the product holders. A plurality of bins can be arranged side-by-side on shelves adjacent to the track, the elongate support member preferably being fixed to the distal end of a cantilever beam.

Abstract: A storage system includes a shell having a plurality of walls and a plurality of rails. The plurality of walls are coupled to one another to form a storage chamber therebetween and to define a plurality of intersection edges. Each of the plurality of intersection edges is formed at a corresponding boundary of two adjacent ones of the plurality of walls. The plurality of rails each extend outwardly from a corresponding one of the plurality of intersection edges with an angled orientation relative to each of the two adjacent ones of the plurality of walls. A cross-sectional thickness of each of the plurality of rails increases as each of the plurality of rails extends away from one of the plurality of intersection edges.
