Abstract: This application discloses a wind pressure-driven air intake device for natural ventilation of zero power consumption. Such a device comprises multiple tunnels being arranged around a common central chamber, each having an inflow valve at its inner end connecting the central chamber and an outer end open to ambient airflow. The inflow valve allows only inward flow from a corresponding tunnel into the central chamber. The central chamber has an opening allowing airflow exit to a space to be ventilated. The device is capable of capturing ambient wind flow and wind pressure to be fed to the vented space regardless of wind flow direction towards the device, with no need for a powered air driver.

The at least one motorized exhaust fan may draw air through the at least one duct. The one or more air pressure sensors may be placed on a side of the at least one duct such that an air pressure is measured as the air is drawn through the at least one duct, such that a plurality of air pressure measurements are generated. The one or more air pressure sensors may be substantially flush with an interior side of the at least one duct and do not obstruct the air as the air is drawn through the at least one duct.
Abstract: An air flap structure for a motor vehicle air-conditioning module includes at least two air outlet openings, a shaft, and a drive. The at least two air outlet openings each have an assigned closure flap configured to close and open the assigned air outlet opening. The shaft has therein the closure flaps arranged and is configured to rotate therewith. The closure flaps are rotatable into a closed and an opened position by a rotational movement of the shaft. The drive is configured to drive the shaft and configured to generate the rotational movement thereof. With respect to imaginary planes at both ends of the shaft, perpendicular to the shaft, the drive is arranged outside the axially outwardly facing sides of said two imaginary planes. A driving force of the drive is introduced onto the shaft exclusively between two adjacent air outlet openings of the at least two air outlet openings.

Abstract: An outlet assembly having a plurality of different operating modes for improving air flow in an air distribution system is provided. The assembly includes a first blocking element supported by a first wall of a housing for movement between blocking and unblocking positions within a cavity of the housing. The first blocking element prevents a first layer of air from flowing immediately adjacent the first wall in its blocking position. A second blocking element is supported by a second wall of the housing for movement between blocking and unblocking positions within the cavity. The second blocking element prevents a second layer of air from flowing immediately adjacent the second wall in its blocking position. An actuator subassembly including a selector member is supported for movement between a plurality of predefined positions which correspond to first and second blocking modes and a nominal unblocking mode.
