Abstract: A method for implementing a set of transaction mediums dedicated to a common commitment includes obtaining a set of transaction mediums at a first networked transaction node. The method also includes individually transacting each of the transaction mediums to a second networked transaction node in a first transaction. The method further includes individually, separately and uniquely marking each of the transaction mediums with a first identifiable characteristic limited only to the set of transaction mediums.

Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking the sales of products and presence of advertising materials within a physical store are provided. According to certain aspects, a sensor component disposed within the physical store may detect light emitted by a unique product identifier (UPI) affixed to a product. A processor of the sensor component may analyze the detected light to determine the UPIs, generate a digital representation of the UPIs within a field of view, and transmit at least a portion of the digital representation to a server computer. A plurality of sensor components may track the movement and sales of various products and presence of advertising materials in the physical store, and the server computer may analyze the resulting data to improve merchandising and the sales experience for customers, among other benefits.

Abstract: A weapon-mounted Fire Control System (FCS) for a handheld weapon includes an imaging sensor and a processing system configured to operate in two modes. In a first mode, for handheld operation of the weapon, the processing system tracks a target, determines an aim-region with which the weapon should be aligned for firing in order to strike the target, and generates an output to facilitate accurate firing of the weapon towards the aim region. The output may indicate the aim region on a display, and/or may control a firing control mechanism. In a second mode, when the weapon is on an adjustable weapon support, the processor tracks a target, determines an aim-region, and generates output signals for controlling operation of at least one actuator of the adjustable weapon support in order to align the weapon with the aim region.

Abstract: Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for identifying emerging viewing patterns for visual media such as still images and videos. Emerging viewing patterns are identified by identifying visual tags for visual media viewed by users, selecting a subset of the tags by applying a taxonomy-based filter, generating pattern candidates from the subset, evaluating consumption metrics for each of the generated patterns, and ranking the generated pattern candidates responsive to the consumption metrics to identify emerging viewing patterns for the users.

Abstract: A housing facilitates a service operation for a transaction device. The housing is communicatively coupled to a housing control computing system. The housing includes a user interface comprising a first input/output (I/O) device that is communicatively coupled to the housing control computing system. The housing includes a transfer cassette interface structured to receive a transfer cassette that is structured to retrievably store banknotes. The housing also includes a media aperture interface structured to couple to a media aperture of the transaction device. The media aperture interface is coupled to a first sensor structured to detect a parameter of the service operation. The media aperture interface is also coupled to a transfer arm structured to facilitate transferring banknotes to and from the media aperture. The housing also includes a transport apparatus that facilitates transporting banknotes to and from the transfer cassette via the transfer cassette interface and/or the media aperture interface.

Abstract: A Self-Service Terminal (SST) that provides valuable media deposit features is enhanced with an apparatus fastened to an outside surface of the SST. The apparatus is adapted to receive an externally provided valuable media cassette and connect/interface a port of the cassette to an unload infeed port. A transaction interface is enhanced to identify the cassette as a source device for obtaining valuable media during a deposit transaction. The SST feeds the valuable media from the externally connected cassette through media validation and transport modules of the SST into cassettes of a safe and the SST returns rejected media for the deposit transaction back through the modules to return rejected media to the externally interfaced cassette.

The method may also involve receiving a location of the first computing system, identifying one or more automatic teller machines (ATMs) based on the location of the first computing system, generating an image configured to cause the one or more ATMs to dispense funds that correspond to the payment amount, and sending the image to the first computing system.

Abstract: A security device or apparatus for use with an ATM includes a pair of base assemblies selectively connected by a beam assembly. The beam assembly is designed to prevent access to one or more service doors of the ATM. In one version of the device the beam assembly includes a horizontally extending beam with vertically oriented posts extending from the beam. The device allows for the beam of the beam assembly to be moved from a locked position or state to an unlocked position or state. In the locked position access to the one or more service doors of the ATM is restricted or prevented, while in the unlocked position access to the one or more service doors of the ATM is permitted.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media for transmitting at least one incident radio frequency identification (RFID) signal to a RFID tag attached to a merchandize item, receiving at least one reflected RFID signal from the RFID tag, determining a frequency response of the RFID tag based on the at least one reflected RFID signal, comparing the frequency response to a plurality of baseline frequency responses, and determining a state of the RFID tag based on the comparing.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to intelligent secure keyless keypad transmitter entry system mounted outside property integrated into an existing motorized garage door opening system or any motorized gate system for secure entry and package delivery using a barcode scanner. The invention uses package tracking codes stored in advance to open a door or gate with a delivery notification to the owner. Motion detection and facial recognition biometric cameras allow invited persons to enter property. The camera and microphone/speaker allow video communication via external devices. The keypad may be used in conjunction with the LED screen to program the console device with temporary or permanent PIN codes for entry code allowing owners to verify access and exit of service providers. The console device offers complete remote control of device functions and all activity on the device to be transmitted electronically to the owner's mobile device.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for generating intrinsic matrixed bar codes, such as Quick Response (“QR”) codes. In one implementation, system for generating an intrinsic matrixed bar code may include an image-receiving device, a processor configured to execute instructions, and a memory storing the instructions. The instructions may include instructions to: receive an image using the image-receiving device, generate a registration mark corresponding to the received image, select coordinates on the received image, overlay one or more matrixed bar codes on the selected coordinates, update the registration mark with the selected coordinates, and overlay the registration mark on the received image.

Abstract: Systems and methods for custom functional patterns for optical barcodes are provided. In example embodiments, image data of an image is received from a user device. A candidate shape feature of the image is extracted from the image data. A determination is made that the shape feature satisfies a shape feature rule. In response to the candidate shape feature satisfying the shape feature rule, a custom graphic in the image is identified by comparing the candidate shape feature with a reference shape feature of the custom graphic. In response to identifying the custom graphic, data encoded in a portion of the image is decoded.

Abstract: A valuable media sanitizing/cleansing cassette is provided for sanitizing/cleansing surfaces of valuable media dispensed to a consumer during a dispense transaction at a transaction terminal. Dispensed media is urged from one or more media cassettes within the terminal along a transport path. The transport path is altered to pass the media through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette where the top and bottom surfaces of the media are illuminated with Ultraviolet (UV) radiation to eradicate any bacteria or virus that may be adhered to the top or the bottom surfaces of the media. Once the media passes through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette, the now sanitized/cleansed media is urged along a remainder of the transport path and dispensed from a media interface of the terminal to the consumer. In an embodiment, media deposited at the terminal is also sanitized/cleansed by passing through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette before being stored in the appropriate media cassettes.

Abstract: A method for peer-to-peer prepaid card accounts can create a prepaid card that can receive donations through a QR code disposed on the physical card. Restrictions can also be placed on the card to control where or how the funds may be used. The method can, in response to receiving a request at a card management service to create an account, obtain account information, wherein the account information comprises a user name, an account number, a QR code image, and optionally a biometric data. The account information can be stored as a card account for the user, which is funded by receiving a payment from a second party using the QR code. Then, when a card holder uses the card for a transaction, the card management service can function as an issuer to authorize its use.
