    Abstract: A guard protects the upper surface of a hanger support from scatching by hangers displaying clothing or other merchandise. The support guard has a bottom surface adapted to rest upon the upper surface of a hanger support and has one or more upwardly extending pegs. Downwardly extending posts or caps are attached to the support guard for friction fitting engagement with the hanger support below the bottom surface of the strip.
