  • Patent number: 11333192
Abstract: A bottom loading fastening system that consists of the polyaxial ball and socket joint used in conjunction with an anchoring bone screw. The system allows attachment of a connector assembly to the anchoring bone screw having a spherical ball connector using a locking ring positioned in a locking ring slot. Upon installation, the locking ring is moved to a ring containment slot to expand a retainer ring, allowing passage of a bone screw spherical ball, the retainer ring forcing the locking ring back to the locking ring slot, thereby permanently attaching the connector assembly to the anchoring bone screw. Movement of the locking ring from the ring containment slot provides an audible sound and tactile indication that the locking ring has secured the connector assembly to the bone screw.

  • Patent number: 11313411
Abstract: A folding device for folding or disassembling rigid objects is provided with engaged toothed rows on opposing surfaces of two connecting plates. Opposite surfaces of protruded teeth of the toothed rows are provided with toothed grooves meshing with each other. When a locking mechanism perpendicular to a direction of the toothed rows is locked, the two connecting plates are driven by the locking mechanism to move toward each other in opposite directions along a pulling rod, so that the toothed grooves on the toothed rows tightly engage with one another, and the two connecting plates are pressed tightly and fixedly connected. When the folding device is in a connected state, meshing surfaces of the two connecting plates tightly mesh with each other through the corresponding toothed grooves, so that the two connected parts are combined together to form a whole rigid combination.

  • Patent number: 11278986
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and devices for repairing holes in weld seams created by bobbin friction stir welding tools. A hole may be created when a welding tool or, more specifically, a pin of the tool is removed or otherwise extracted from a weld seam created by the tool. The method may involve inserting a plug (e.g., a rivet) into the hole, reshaping the plug in the hole (e.g., riveting) thereby securing the plug in the component, and creating another weld seam through the plug thereby consuming the plug. In some embodiments, the hole may be reshaped prior to inserting the plug. For example, the hole may be drilled out and/or a countersink may be created on one or both ends of the hole. Furthermore, the plug may extend outside of the hole prior to its reshaping and, in some embodiments, even after reshaping.
