Patent number: 9334655Abstract: A roofing system in a building structure having a ridge vent includes strips of composite material having a base material adapted to form a hermetic seal with the top surface of a roofing section and recesses in a top surface in which an air permeable material can be positioned. A strip is applied to roof sections adjacent to each side of a ridge vent so that a ridge cap can overlay the strips in spaced relation from the underlying roof sections and be sealingly secured to the roof sections. The strip material establishes a barrier between the ridge cap and the roof sections through which air can pass, but through which the passage of rain and insects is inhibited.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2012Date of Patent: May 10, 2016Assignee: MARCO INDUSTRIES, INC.Inventors: Mark D. Patent number: 9316009Abstract: The present apparatus and method relates in general to sealing a hole in a floor with a precast plug. A precast plug is created by pouring a wet aggregate mix into a form mold and thereafter inserting a pre bent rod into the uncured mixture, positioning it such that the center of the rod rests in the center of the form mold and the ends of the rod extend outward near the top of the form mold. The mix is then cured. The precast plug may then be transported to the hole that it is destined to fix. Grooves may be carved on either side of the hole to accommodate the rod's ends. The interior of the hole and the exterior of the plug may then be covered with a sealant, after which the plug may be inserted into the hole. Once the sealant cures, the hole is fully repaired.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2014Date of Patent: April 19, 2016Inventors: Gerald R. Gray, Robert W. Johnson

Patent number: 9310021Abstract: A retention and rotation assembly includes a first support having a first bore that extends along an axis AA. A lug is received in the first bore and is rotatable relative to the first support about the axis AA. The assembly includes a second support having a second bore. An inside surface of the second bore is engageable with an outside surface of the lug, the second support is fixed relative to the lug about the axis AA when second support is engaged with the lug. A locking element extends through a bore in the lug and into at least a portion of the second support. A rotation of the locking element in a first direction about the axis AA increases a friction between the lug and the first support thereby inhibiting rotation of the lug relative to the first support about the axis AA.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2013Date of Patent: April 12, 2016Assignee: The Music People, Inc.Inventors: James R. Patent number: 9285068Abstract: A retention system includes a base supporting a wing spar and a post extending through the base from a first side of the base to a second side of the base. The post inserts through an aperture in the spar. A stop is selectively securable to the post over the second side of the base. A locking member engages the post on the first side of the base. The locking member is configured to selectively move the post from an unlocked position to a locked position in which the post is withdrawn toward the first side relative to the unlocked position. A biasing member encircles the post and is positioned between the stop and the second side. When the locking member is in a closed position the biasing member expands to engage the aperture and resist movement of the wing spar. A plurality of cradles may support the wing.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2013Date of Patent: March 15, 2016Assignee: Becklin Holdings, Inc.Inventors: Matthew P. Phelan, Adrian P. Tayne
