Abstract: The invention relates to a safety device and a securing method, in particular for securing firearms against unauthorised use. A device according to the invention is provided with at least one clamping or locking portion that is insertable into a barrel 100 of a firearm and is optionally lockable and/or unlockable or permanently clampable therein and/or detachable therefrom. Moreover, it is provided with a control unit, such as an electronic authentication means that is capable of authenticating a user and, if the user is authorized, makes at least one clamping portion clampable within the barrel of the weapon or detachable therefrom. The safety device is completely insertable into the barrel.
Abstract: A launcher for torpedoes and underwater vehicles includes an inlet recess in fluid communication with a shutterway recess. A primary shutterway is provided both for ejection of the vehicle and for supplying fluid intake to the launcher. A pump circulates fluid from the inlet recess to the shutterway recess, and a launch tube houses a vehicle such as a weapon, within the launcher prior to launch thereof. A slide valve and impulse tank combination are positioned intermediate the pump and the launch tube, such that the slide valve controls a flow of fluid to the launch tube. A guide can is positioned at the shutterway recess for guiding the vehicle from the launch tube to an exterior of the launcher and fluid within the launcher is continually moderated to enable selective launch of the vehicle with a fluid force.

Abstract: A proven military combat-type weapon with the stock removed therefrom converted to an improved tactical weapon by addition of retrofit assemblies which include a collapsible and bilaterally pivoting stock, a front stabilization system, and a sighting system. This improved tactical weapon has the characteristics of reduced exposure to enemy fire by allowing the operator to fire while under cover, and increased weapon stability by the utilization of the front stabilizer assembly. Utilizing this invention, the operator is able to shoulder support and fire the weapon with minimal exposure to enemy fire. Furthermore, by exerting force to (leaning against) the weapon stock, the weapon is pinned between the operator and the object (i.e., wall, tree, etc.). The amount of gun movement is reduced and the stability of the weapon is increased over a weapon which is only hand held when the gun is fired.
Abstract: Multiple independent penetrating electrode non-electric tips in which the electrodes are separated in a non-coaxial arrangement so as to generate a spark gap internal to the non-electric shock tube, with the electrodes being brought together inside of the shock tube at a very precise distance, improving longevity by eliminating ablation of the insulating material between the inner and outer electrodes, reducing electrical shorting of the electrodes, and providing more consistent and reliable ignition of shock tubes.
