  • Patent number: 11202002
Abstract: A method for preprocessing camera raw data of an image sensor of a camera. The method includes a step of reading in, a step of setting, a step of reducing, and a step of outputting. In the step of reading in, a raw data signal is read in, which encompasses camera raw data detected by the image sensor at a detection point in time. In the step of setting, a preprocessing algorithm for reducing the resolution of the camera raw data is set, using at least one setting signal. In the step of reducing, the resolution of the camera raw data is reduced, using the preprocessing algorithm set in the step of setting, to obtain a preprocessed camera signal which represents a preprocessed camera image. In the step of outputting, the preprocessed camera signal is output to an image processing unit.

  • Patent number: 11184595
Abstract: This document describes techniques for color correction using a sensor to reduce color distortions of a camera under a display of a computing device. A correction module of the computing device may determine a color correction used to improve content captured by a camera utilizing, in part, a sensor (e.g., a camera, ambient light sensor, and so forth) positioned underneath the display. The sensor may detect ambient light over time that is modified as it travels through the display, producing color distortions. The sensor may also detect a composite light over time that includes calibration light emitted by the display and ambient light. The correction module may compare the ambient light and composite light to determine the color correction usable to improve both the content captured by the camera and a user experience.

  • Patent number: 11165982
Abstract: A photo sensor includes a plurality of pixel blocks, each including one or more anchor pixels and one or more non-anchor pixels. The anchor pixels produce first sensor signals and the non-anchor pixels produce second sensor signals. An amplifier circuit amplifies the first and second sensor signals. A variable bit-depth analog to digital converter (ADC) circuit quantizes amplified versions of the first sensor signals into first digitized sensor signals with a first bit-depth. The ADC circuit also quantizes amplified versions of the second sensor signals into second digitized sensor signals with a second bit-depth that is lower than the first bit depth. The second bit-depth may be selected based on anchor pixel statistics derived from the one or more first digitized sensor signals.
