    Abstract: A sprinkler of the compressed strut and lever type wherein the motion of the lever is limited is disclosed. The sprinkler includes a compression member that compresses a strut against a sealing member that closes the outlet of the sprinkler. One end of a lever is positioned between the compression member and the strut. The opposite end is positioned in proximity to an abutment surface on the sprinkler. The opposite end is engageable with the abutment surface which limits motion of the lever and maintains an offset between the strut and the compression member that renders the strut and lever an unstable mechanism. A frangible link extends between the strut and the lever. The link separates in response to an increase in temperature indicative of a fire condition.

    Abstract: A fire suppression device characterized by a plunger that is extendible from a housing for delivery of a fire suppressant foam. The plunger may be equipped at its outer end with a puncture tip that can penetrate through the wall of a container or cargo cover for delivery of the fire suppressant foam directly to the cargo, preferably after full or almost full extension of the plunger. The plunger may be driven outwardly under high force by a pressurized gas that may also be used as a propellant for mixing with a liquid foaming agent, preferably within a foaming chamber carried by the piston. Provision may also be made for connection to a source of pressurized fluid to effect retraction of the plunger.

    Abstract: A control valve assembly for spray guns comprises a flexible valve having a water-sealing portion defined by a support surface and an abutment surface conjoined to a pivoting rod via a water-stop surface disposed there-between. A water-pressure adjusting valve includes a pressure-relief section having a flow orifice to mount to a valve shaft of a pressure valve and match to the pivoting rod and the abutment surface of the flexible valve thereby. The pressure-relief section, precisely situated between a stop seat of a spray gun body and a valve seat, has a watertight ring fixed at one side to closely abut against the stop seat. A support section, extending at the other side of the water-pressure adjusting valve, has a pivoting hole defining the end portion opposite to the flow orifice thereof. Besides, the pressure valve has a positioning ring mounted to the predetermined position of the valve shaft thereon.

    Abstract: A system for fighting a fire in an enclosed space has at least one container (3) for holding a fire extinguishing agent under pressure. A pipe system connects a container outlet to a discharge in the enclosed space. A controllable flow control valve (5) in the pipe system is responsive to a flow control signal generated by a control unit (4) in response to sensed characteristics (pressure and/or temperature) of the agent. A trigger action initially opens the container to the pipe system. The valve is initially held open until concentration (A) of fire extinguishing agent in the enclosed space is sufficient to suffocate a started fire. Thereafter, the valve is opened intermittently to maintain a lower concentration of fire extinguishing agent in the space sufficient to prevent rekindling. More than one container may be used but only one is equipped with a valve controllable by a control unit.

A rod extending from a fluid control adjustment valve penetrates through the sleeve. The middle section of the sleeve is provided with an external thread to engage with the atomization adjustment nut and the locking nut. The elastic member is accommodated in the rear section of the sleeve. The rear section of the sleeve is provided with an internal thread to relatively engage with a fluid adjustment nut. The atomization adjustment nut is provided with an external thread to engage with a thread relatively disposed at the rear section of the housing.
