Abstract: A system (and method) are disclosed for enlarging a portion of a view of a user interface displayed within a touch-sensitive screen. The system is configured to determine a predetermined touch area corresponding to a touch applied on the screen. The system provides, for display on the screen, a user interface, the user interface including selectable objects and a scrim of the user interface in response to a plurality of selectable objects being within the predetermined touch area. The system generates a magnified view of the selectable objects within the touch area and provides, for display on the screen over the scrim of the user interface, the magnified view. The area of the magnified view is greater than the touch area. Once a selection is made within the magnified view, the magnified view and scrim view are removed and the normal view of the user interface is returned.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method, system, and computer program product for updating contact information according to metadata associated with a virtual world. In response to an avatar of a first user interacting with an avatar of a second user in a virtual world, information comprising a name of the avatar of the second user and metadata associated with the avatar of the second user is sent to the first user. In response to receiving the information, contact information associated with the name of the avatar of the second user is determined. The contact information is organized based on the metadata to form organized contact information. The organized contact information is prioritized according to the metadata to form prioritized contact information. The prioritized contact information is stored.

Abstract: The process of generating regular elements in a CAD drawing is accelerated by providing a CAD designer with graphical user interface (GUI) tools to generate regular elements for a CAD drawing interactively, dynamically, and in real-time. The GUI tools allow the CAD designer to preview the regular elements that he or she will be adding to the CAD drawing and modify the number of regular elements to be added interactively and in real-time.

Abstract: A system for presenting dynamically generated images in a computing environment is provided. The system generates visual elements, such as widgets, for example, by combining image data, user-defined data which may include alphanumeric data, and real-time data indicative of current conditions. The widgets may be implemented in a purely server-side application environment which alleviates the need for any installation of client software on the client computing device.

Abstract: There is provided an information processing apparatus including a control section which, if it is determined that a first object is selected by an operating body, causes a second object, which is obtained by duplicating a part or all of the first object, to be displayed at a predetermined position on a second display surface, and if it is determined that the second object is selected by the operating body, hides the first object displayed at the position indicated by object coordinate information and also updates the object coordinate information with in-second display surface destination coordinate information.

Abstract: Communication system management apparatus, methods, and interfaces are disclosed. A group of objects that are associated with different types of communication system components in a representation of a communication system are configured in a group. A further representation of the objects of the group is provided, and includes an indication of component operational status for one or more communication system components respectively associated with one or more of the objects of the group. The further representation of the objects of the group may also or instead provide access to the objects of the group, so that information associated with the objects may be more easily displayed, for example. The communication system representation and the group representation are provided in a Graphical User Interface (GUI) in some embodiments.

Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) in which a user may navigate through states of an information technology (IT) management process by selecting or deselecting the selectable objects in the GUI. When the user selects a first object in a first display window of the GUI, the first display window is changed to represent a first state of the IT management process based on the selected object, and the second display window is changed to show computing objects and relationships associated with the selected object. Abstract: Methods, articles of manufacture and systems for managing execution of workflows. One embodiment provides a computer-implemented method for managing execution of a data driven multi-step workflow. The method includes receiving input data for a step of the workflow and performing the step of the workflow on the input data to obtain a result set. Then, at least one rule is applied to the result set for determining whether one or more associated conditions are satisfied. The at least one rule defines the one or more associated conditions and an associated process. If the one or more associated conditions are satisfied, the associated process is performed on the result set.

Abstract: Techniques for an auto adjustable pane view are described, including receiving a request to display a plurality of elements in a pane, the pane located in a display space, determining a number and a size of the a plurality of elements, and sizing the pane based on the number of the plurality of elements and the size of the plurality of elements, wherein the sizing is also based on minimizing unused space in the pane.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for displaying windows on a graphical user interface based on relative priorities associated with the windows are disclosed. According to one method, relative priorities of a plurality of windows of a graphical user interface are determined. Further, relative priorities of a plurality of portions of at least one of the windows are determined. The windows are automatically arranged on the graphical user interface based on the relative priorities of the windows and based on the relative priorities of the portions. A higher priority window may cover a lower priority portion of a lower priority window to provide for a simultaneous viewing of the higher priority window and a higher priority portion of the lower priority window.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system for keeping sensing of mass data of members of an organization with respect to states of their meeting and activities and analyzing and evaluating their interactions according to those sensor data. Interaction data includes first information denoting whether or not a terminal unit has faced a different terminal unit and second information denoting a state of the terminal unit and excluding information denoting positions of the terminal unit and the first information. An interaction data display apparatus includes a receiving unit for receiving interaction data from the terminal unit and a display unit for displaying the received interaction data. The display unit displays the first and second information items included in the interaction data received by the receiving unit so as to be related to each other according to times at which those first and second information items are obtained respectively.

Abstract: The technology generally relates to predictively launching applications and powering up devices. Embodiments may include a computer-implemented method that maintains a plurality of individual folders. The individual folders may include one or more applications. A command may be used to open a selected folder. In response to receiving the command, embodiments may predict which application in the selected folder will be selected for launching and load program code associated with the predicted application into active memory. A command to launch a selected application included in the selected folder is received and, in response, the selected application is launched.

Abstract: Provided are a user interface method of enabling a user to conveniently use a terminal allowing multi-tasking, and a computer readable recording medium storing the method. Abstract: Described are systems and methods for remoting applications, such as those based on Windows® Presentation Foundation (WPF). The systems and methods are based on remoting information associated with a structural representation. The structural representation corresponds to visual contents or elements of a desktop to be displayed at a remote end or client end, without rendering the contents at a client or remoted end. The information associated with the structural representation or structural information includes data that specifies the placement of the visual contents on the desktop when displayed. The information is used for recreating the structural representation at the client end and displaying the visual contents in conformance with the structural representation.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and a method for creating, editing, reusing and presenting of scenarios. The scenario may comprise events, where each event nay comprise instance and/or class components. The system may comprise a processor and a GUI that is object oriented. The GUI may allow a user to graphically edit, create and define operations upon scenarios, events and events' components; and static and dynamic presentations of the scenario, the events that are associated with the scenario and the events' components. The processor may enable translating the graphical operations into programming code to be executed by a computer. The system may enable a multiplicity of users to reuse and customize template scenarios where upon downloading a template scenario the system may replace all the instance components with their associated class components.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a graphical user interface for receiving a server configuration (e.g., receiving a new configuration or a modification to an existing configuration). The graphical user interface (UI) includes several UI control elements for defining components of the server configuration. It also includes a display area for displaying graphical representations of the defined components of the server configuration. Examples of control elements in some embodiments include control elements for adding, deleting, and modifying servers. In some embodiments, at least one control element is displayed when a cursor control operation is performed on the UI. The cursor control operation (e.g., a right hand click operation) in some embodiments opens a display area that shows the control element. In some embodiments, at least two different components in the server configuration correspond to two different layers (e.g., a web server layer and a data storage layer) in the server configuration.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and methodology to assist users with data access activities and that includes such activities as routine web browsing and/or data access applications. A coalesced display or montage of aggregated information is provided that is focused from a plurality of sources to achieve substantially one-button access to user's desired web or data source information/destinations in order to mitigate efforts in retrieving and viewing such information. Past web or other type data access patterns can be mined to predict future browsing sites or desired access locations. A system is provided that builds personalized web portals for associated users based on models mined from past data access patterns. The portals can provide links to web resources as well as embed content from distal (remote) pages or sites producing a montage of web or other type data content. Automated topic classification is employed to create multiple topic-centric views that can be invoked by a user.

Abstract: A meeting management application that permits the manipulation of meetings by groups is provided. The meeting management application incorporates or is associated with a scheduling application for receiving and maintaining meeting information. The scheduling application may additionally check for conflicts between scheduled meetings and other meetings and events. The meeting management application may additionally include or be associated with a grouping application. The grouping application may permit the creation of groups of meetings having one or more specified items of associated information. Once a group of meetings is defined, modifications to information associated with each meeting within the group can be applied to the included meetings globally.

Abstract: A method and mobile terminal for selecting a menu are disclosed. The present invention includes arranging at least two of a plurality of displayed menus in a preset manner and executing menus corresponding to a selected terminal input key. By arranging a plurality of activated menu icons in a plurality of directions, selection of a specific icon from a plurality of displayed menu icons by selecting one of the plurality of the directions using navigations keys is facilitated and the speed of selecting a terminal menu is considerably enhanced.
