Abstract: This application provides a card information display method, an electronic device, and a graphical user interface, and relates to the field of terminal technologies. A problem of poor human-computer interaction when a user views push information is resolved. When the electronic device displays the leftmost home screen, a plurality of cards of a same card type may be stacked for display. For example, the plurality of first cards may be stacked and displayed in the first area. Apparently, a stacking manner can reduce display resources occupied by the plurality of first cards. In this way, more other cards may be further displayed on the leftmost home screen, so that utilization of display space is improved.

Abstract: A method for rule-based composition of user interfaces. A machine-learned rule repository is established based on previously observed combinations of UI states, UI features, and user features. A classifier classifies users into segments. Each segment includes users for which a combination of user features and UI states are defined. A first machine learning model (MLM) estimates a user segment-content preference including preferred UI content. A second MLM estimates a seen content-seen content similarity UI content preferences estimated according to prior UI content a user has seen. Based on the UI state and based on the user ID, rule-based recipes are obtained. Each rule-based recipe specifies a corresponding UI content suitable for an interaction between the user and the interface. A selected rule-based recipe is selected from the rule-based recipes. Specific UI content specified by the selected rule-based recipe is obtained, and the interface is updated with the specific UI content.

Abstract: A printing apparatus communicates with an information processing apparatus which displays a remaining amount of a first color material and a second color material in the printing apparatus on a display region based on information sent from the printing apparatus. A first color material display color is modified such that a color difference between the first color material display color and a background color of the display region becomes more than or equal to a predetermined value. A modified display color difference between the display color of the second color material and the background color becomes more than or equal to the predetermined value. The information processing apparatus displays the remaining amount of the first and second color materials in the display region using the modified first and second material display colors and the background color.

Abstract: Mobile work force (MF) workflow automation data structure (ADS) uses a cloud-based or web-based server coupled to a data store. Stored, dynamic and security-siloed MF-user personal profile (UPP) and customer UPPs feed main menu and sub-menu datasets for MF worker cell-phone-type devices. A MF vendor back-office has an assigned MF worker scheduling dashboard. The ADS system is a series of menus, sometimes sequentially tied together and at other times hierarchically linked for MF user selectable and actuatable menus. Downloaded menu datasets react to MF worker inputs resulting in uploaded MF datasets to the server. For each job/task/project “Type,” initially configured in ADS data store, the ADS provides downloadable datasets to multiple mobile MF servicing multiple customers at diverse destinations for a MF vendor, all supported by the vendor's secured data store.

Abstract: A fume hood monitor includes a user interface including a display, a wireless interface and a memory that stores a plurality of fume hood parameters and one or more default display settings. A controller is configured to display one or more of the plurality of fume hood parameters on the display formatted in accordance with the default display settings. The controller is configured to detect a presence of a mobile device, and in response, receive personalized display settings from the mobile device via the wireless interface and to display one or more of the plurality of fume hood parameters on the display formatted in accordance with the personalized display settings. When the mobile device is no longer detected, the controller is configured to display one or more of the plurality of fume hood parameters on the display formatted in accordance with the default display settings.

Abstract: An example method to facilitate online collaboration includes granting access to a collaboration space to multiple client devices, each associated with a corresponding one of multiple users, the multiple users including a first user and a second user. The method includes receiving input from the first user to create a first set of graphical objects in the collaboration space. The method includes receiving input from the second user to create a second set of graphical objects in the collaboration space. The method includes applying different visual attributes to graphical objects authored by different users to visually identify an author or creator of each graphical object such that all graphical objects of the first set of graphical objects have a first visual attribute and all graphical objects of the second set of graphical objects have a second visual attribute that is different than the first visual attribute.

Abstract: The purpose of the invention is a method for activating a mobile device in a network comprising at least one display device being coupled to a sensor. This method is characterised by the fact that it comprises: detecting the mobile device via the sensor coupled to the display device; displaying a device representative of the detected mobile device, called a virtual device, on the display device such that the position of the virtual device on the display screen is linked to the position of the mobile device in the capture field of the sensor; activating the mobile device in the network when a determined action is applied by the user to the mobile device. Another purpose of the invention is a display device and a system implementing the method.

Abstract: An entity-centric approach has been proposed to provide a consistent user experience in accessing a unified software applications suite effortlessly. Entities are connected with one another. The entities and the connectivity between them are reflected in all three functional layers of 3-tier client-server architecture. Every entity has a set of attributes and each attribute represents a data item or record of a particular type. The data items or records are represented in the form of card(s) as determined by contextualization and access control engines. The connection between two or more entities in the context of communication/interaction, collaboration and productivity, can be referred to as an activity. The activities of the entities can be represented in a timeline or swimlane mode. The timeline mode represents the recent activities between two entities as a vertical timeline chart, in reverse chronological order. Abstract: A system provides permission controls for group messages. A system can support user accessibility by the use of a permissions that indicates that a user has accessibility needs with respect to a voice input. When a user is known to have accessibility issue with providing a voice input, a system data structure, such as a Teams directory, can indicate when specific users have special needs. The system can grant them with rights to prevent others from providing messages to a message thread. This allows that person to become a presenter of a meeting while using a message thread to give their presentation without interruption from others. The system can unlock the thread and allow others to provide messages when the user is done with their presentation. By controlling a message thread in this manner, a system can allow users having special needs to participate as a meeting presenter.

Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying improved user interfaces are disclosed. The method includes: receiving a request to load a user interface (UI) on a client device, the UI comprising a plurality of object decks. For each of the plurality of object decks, the method includes retrieving object deck parameters; executing a search to identify one or more objects that match the object deck parameters; receiving object data for the identified one or more objects; and communicating the object data to the client device. The client device is configured to render the UI with the plurality of object decks, each object deck includes graphical elements of the one or more objects that match the object deck parameters, the graphical elements generated based on corresponding object data.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided for creating and providing reminders that involve an activity states of an application on a device. An activity state can correspond to a particular view within an application, e.g., a view that was reached after several inputs from a user. A user can provide a specification of an activity state in a variety of ways, e.g., providing a reminder command while the application is executing in the foreground with the desired activity state or by voice commands that specify the activity state. A user can provide one or more trigger criteria. Once the reminder is triggered, the specified activity state can be provided to the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for novel uses and/or improvements for predicting, using machine learning models, a process for a user based on function execution. An indication of completion of a predetermined application function associated with a user may be detected and a plurality of stored parameters associated with the user may be identified. The predetermined application function and the parameters may be input into a machine learning model to determine/obtain a process prediction for the user. The process may include a number of functions that may be sent to a user device for execution.

Abstract: A system that can coordinate user interface formats having customized threads comprising messages from a common thread. Each client device can be managed by a data structure that defines thread containers, where individual thread containers define threads and topics for each thread. Each thread can also be associated with unique groups of messages. The data structure can cause each client computer to display different user interface formats, with each format showing different threads for each user. Individual devices can control displayed threads according to a topic limit so that displayed messages can be limited for optimizing the use of a display screen and other computing resources. The system provides more granular control of user interface formats to allow users to separate messages of high-priority topics.
