Abstract: A wall patch includes a substantially planar body, an adhesive located on a first surface of the body, a ready-to-paint second surface of the body, and an aperture in the body. The aperture is preferably sized to minimize a wall hole, such as is commonly made for installation of an electrical outlet or other household wall element. A method for repairing a wall hole includes identifying a wall hole to be repaired by covering less than a total hole area defined by the wall hole, said wall hole having a wall element mounted therein; applying over the wall hole a wall patch having a substantially planar body, an adhesive located on a lower surface of the body, a ready-to-paint upper surface of the body, and an aperture in the body having an aperture area less than the wall hole area; wherein the aperture of the wall patch partially covers the wall hole without obstructing access to the wall element; and painting directly over the wall patch.
Abstract: An adhesive and a pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive tape formed by coating the adhesive on a base material are provided. The adhesive has a color when applied to a substrate and, after application can be decolored. The adhesive comprises a colored material colored by reacting a leuco dye with a developer, a material (decoloring material) having a decoloring effect by acting on the colored material, and microcapsules including a material allowing both of the colored and decoloring materials to react by acting on at least one of them.
Abstract: The film splicer includes a base body on which two films to be spliced are aligned such that splicing ends thereof make contact with each other, an adhesive tape applied to the splicing ends of the films to join them, and a splicer arm that is folded against the base body to bore sprocket holes by punching members and to cut the adhesive tape by cutting members to a length corresponding to the length in the width direction of the films, wherein the cutting members comprise punches that are capable of punching out both the adhesive tape and excessive edge areas in the width direction of the films and that are formed with tapered portions having an angle relative to a cutting direction that extends in the longer direction of the films, the tapered portions being formed at both end areas in the cutting direction, whereby edge areas in the width direction of the films spliced together are free of steps.
Abstract: The present invention provides a functional film for transfer in order to furnish a surface of an article, even an article poor in flexibility, such as a board material, with a functional layer having a uniform thickness and a higher function, e.g. a transparent conductive layer having a lower electric resistance; an article furnished with the functional layer; and a method for producing the article furnished with the functional layer. A functional film for transfer comprising at least a functional layer 4 on a support 1, said functional layer 4 being releasable from the support 1, wherein the functional layer 4 is a compressed layer of functional fine particles, and further, on the functional layer 4 an adhesive layer 5 comprising at least an acrylic type monomer (M) and a silicone type resin (S) is provided.
