Abstract: The invention provides a system for respiratory pharmacology test and a chamber device that enables respiratory pharmacology test on particular large animals under unanesthetized, unrestrained state, with easy acclimatization and reduced effect of stress, and a method for conducting safety pharmacology studies on the same large animal individual. The chamber device of the invention includes animal cage 10 and transparent chamber 20, which includes first and second compartments 21 and 22 separated by partition plate 23. The compartment 21 has a door and ventilation connection port 26, and the compartments 21 and 22 are provided with communication pipe 29 having opening 29a for introducing ambient air.
Abstract: Ecopots having a large number of holes permeable to the culture solution and air are used for disposing seeding and seedling pots or for planting seedlings and are hung in the space in a house, a bucket for collecting the drips of the culture solution is placed below each pot for collecting the residual solution to thereby prevent the infection by pathogens, and a balancing toy-like hanger hung vertically from a hook hung movably from a shelf pole in the house via a loop clutch, an ecopot hanging chain, a main melon stem attracting cord, a melon fruit hanging cord and so forth are used to render the ecopot hung from the ecopot hanging chain orientation-variable in all directions so that oxygen may be fed abundantly to the rooting zone of the horticultural plant and the plant may receive the sunshine with ease.
Abstract: A combination liquid container and pet drinking bowl in which the bowl is formed of a plastic sheet secured to the container. The sheet may be flexed into two distinct positions. In a first stored position, the sheet is form-retaining and lies against a portion of the container. In a second operative position, the sheet provides a form-retaining bowl extending longitudinally from the container and may be filled with liquid from said container.
Abstract: A lidded pet food dish uses wireless technology to independently and selectively open one of a plurality of lidded food compartments for access by a pet. The dish discriminates between pets by means of a tag worn by each pet to allow or prevent access to a given food compartment. Electronic circuitry for this functionality is operable by any wireless technology and provides for manual system override by the pet owner as well as remote control capability.
Abstract: A lawn edging consisting of an elongated extrusion made of a flexible and resilient polymer, the extrusion having opposite ends. The extrusion has a bottom, first and second side walls extending from the bottom and a transverse cross brace connecting the side walls together. The bottom has a toe portion extending perpendicularly from the first wall. The first wall is divided into an upper portion above the transverse cross brace and a lower portion between the transverse cross brace and the toe portion, the lower portion being perpendicular with respect to the toe portion. The upper portion of the first wall is at an obtuse angle to the lower portion such that the upper portion extends away from the lower portion of the side wall and away from the second side wall. The upper portion is configured to be flexible and resilient. The extrusion has an open top defined byte upper portion of the first and second walls which flare out relative to lower portions of the first and second walls.
Abstract: A garden planter with integrated irrigation and lighting systems (100) includes a container (101) for holding plants and an irrigation tube (107) for supplying water to the interior of the container (101). A light (213) is positioned above the container (101) for providing illumination. One or more fastening tubes (105) are used for supporting the container (101) and supplying irrigation directly to the container or concealing the irrigating tube (107).
Abstract: A crop protection device that is designed to cover a number of citrus fruit trees during periods of cold weather. The device is a heated canopy system that is made from a lightweight, high strength fabric that is supported by a number of ground-mounted frame members. The ends of the fabric are attached to one another by a drawstring, which is wound through a series of eyelets on the fabric. The device also includes a heater and blower unit that continuously blows hot air within the confines of the fabric after the fabric has been mounted over at least one citrus plant.
Abstract: An angle-adjustable device between two tubes used as a play place for pets comprises a first connecting unit connected to a first tube, a linking body connected to the first connecting unit, and a second connecting unit connected to a second tube and the linking body. By such arrangements, a pipe is formed as a play place for the pets, and the shape of the pipe is adjustable.
