Abstract: Coated seeds and methods for reducing seed dust and increasing seed flowability are disclosed. The coated seeds include a seed and a coating composition. The coating composition includes a binder comprising an ethylene copolymer and a lubricant comprising a wax composition. In some embodiments, the ethylene copolymer includes an ethylene monomer and at least one comonomer. The comonomer is selected from acrylic acid, acetic acid, derivatives thereof, or mixtures thereof. In some embodiments, the wax comprises a Fischer-Tropsch wax, a carnauba wax, a polyethylene wax, a soy wax, a paraffin wax, a scale wax, a slack wax, or a mixture thereof.
Abstract: An aqueous terconazole composition comprises at least about 0.4 percent by weight of terconazole dissolved in water, and a terconazole crystallization-inhibiting amount of citric acid. The composition is free from terconazole crystals at an ambient temperature of about 20° C. Methods of preparing the composition are also described. The compositions provide for improved therapeutic release of terconazole.
Abstract: Copper ion treatments for dermatological areas of the body include solutions, creams, lotions, gels, foams, wound dressings, skin patches and suture material, each containing copper ions that bring about therapeutic effects when the copper ion treatments are applied to dermatological tissue. Methods of treating dermatological areas of the body include treatments for use on the skin and nails to treat conditions including disease, infection, inflammation, damaged or injured tissue, tissue needing to be sutured, rashes and other undesirable dermatological conditions.
Abstract: Solid dosage formulations of nitazoxanide or a nitazoxanide analog are provided that comprise a controlled release portion and an immediate release portion. The pharmaceutical composition is typically in the form of a bilayer solid oral dosage form comprising (a) a first layer comprising a first quantity of nitazoxanide or analog thereof in a controlled release formulation; and (b) a second layer comprising a second quantity of nitazoxanide or analog thereof in an immediate release formulation. Method of using the formulations in the treatment of hepatitis C are also provided.

Abstract: A method of reducing contaminants in air, including applying titanium dioxide-containing growth media to at least one of a Myrtus communis plant root, stem, and leaf, and growing the plant. The growth media is a liquid growth media, a gel growth media, or both. The plant is then exposed to contaminant-containing air. The contaminant is CO2, SO2, formaldehyde, CO, benzene, toluene, xylene, ethyl benzene, or a combination thereof. The contaminant concentration in the air is reduced relative to a contaminant concentration in the air prior to the exposing. A plant portion having a portion of a Myrtus communis plant comprising an infused titanium dioxide is also described. The portion is at least one of a root, stem, or leaf. In a closed environment, the plant portion reduces the concentration of a contaminant in the air in the closed environment.
